  Ive been to hostels with higher standards than this

  Due to work, Ive had to stay at this awful place. Ive stayed here on and off for almost two months. Ive tried several bedrooms and amenities, which all suck. The hotel has a decor called; whatever we could find in the dumpster that day and the overall smell of the hotel is a mix between mould and wet doormat. The breakfast hasnt changed one bit since I started staying here. Same old boring stuff. Apart from the noisy road just next to the hotel, the doors to the rooms are probably just two pieces of cardboard glued together. The staff is 9/10 a blond young girl. They change quite often. None of witch has ever gotten any of my requests right. Ever. They have a gym. Two dumbbells and a leg press. The showers and bathrooms are equipped with automatic soap dispensers. Really?! Mould in every shower Ive used. There is probably a lot more I could write here but I think Ive made my point. Dont stay here. Pay a little bit more and stay in the city.

  Unprofessional

  We spent 3 nights at the hotel. It was very clean and for 80 euros a night with breakfast, I felt a good deal. The room was nice considering the price and we believe newly renovated. We would recommend except for one issue. On Sunday morning we were waiting for our transportation and the woman at the front desk asked if we were leaving? We said no, we would be leaving on Monday. She appeared puzzled, but said ok. A few minutes later she repeated the same question, to which we answered the same response. No big deal. On Monday on the way to breakfast we asked to purchase a soft drink and she told us that we needed to settle the bill. This was odd since the room was already paid by a third party. We were told this by our hosts who had paid and also by the hotel when checking in. Furthermore we never were asked for a credit card when arriving. I contacted the third party (a kind man in his 70s) to verify that the bill was settled. He assured me it was and he had the receipt. The manager also called him and had him come to present the receipt. Which he did and then the manager said ok. No apologies until I stated that this was rather poor and unkind to have someone who had paid have to come back to the hotel to show the receipt. Poor accounting practices and a staff who do not know how to deal politely and respectfully with clients. We felt accused of wanting to run out on the bill. Left a very unpleasant experience. Manager has poor personal skills. Owner should provide social training.

  Not greatest location.

  We stayed here because we had lads who where entered into a boxing tournament in Borås, it was cheap and offered a breakfast, which was good value for money. The hotel in whole was ok bit tatty and rooms where very basic but this is a low budget hotel, the location of the hotel was to far from the venue which cost us a small fortune in taxis. Our room could not have been in a worst location as we were next to the reception and the entrance into the hotel, so we got a fair bit of noise from the other guests and a few who were staying there found it great fun to run up and down corridors and play in the snow until midnight, which of course was great for our boxers who had to box the next day, I did raise this with the receptionist who I think tried to have a word but it didnt make a difference. One good positive was the breakfast that it was help yourself and for the boxers who had to make weight could take a carry out with them, which I thought was decent of the hotel.

  Basic but clean

  All the business hotels in Boras were full, so I ended up in this place to my colleagues' great amusement. It used to be a hostel. The hotel is located a 20 minute walk from central town and appears to have been recently renovated. It's clean but basic. Two significant drawbacks: Thin walls between the rooms and no blackout curtains. Warning for twin and/or singel beds which are very narrow and not comfortable. If you are going to stay here, bring ear plugs and blackout eye mask. Staff were helpful but did not look very professional with relaxed attire and tattoos showing. I was charged 1750 for a room at the hotel. That was 1000 too much in relation for what was offered. In all likelyhood this was a question of supply and demand as two conventions were taking place in the city when I visited for work.

  Nice good value hotel

  Clean and pleasant room with small outdoor patio with two chairs with view of a small garden with pond. Nice size bathroom with shower. Electric kettle with selection of various teas and instant coffee in room. Nice reception and eating area and friendly staff. Free tea, coffee and cookies in eating area. Small but ok dinner selection. Complementary breakfast which was fine but not amazing - however were able to cook our own waffles which were very good. Would definitely revisit.
