  Typical Japanese business hotel. The staff don't speak English, but no problem because you'll likely be the only non-Japanese staying. Older and a bit run down overall, it's perfectly workable and the price is hard to beat. All rooms (including non-smoking) are smoking rooms. If you're sensitive to that then this is not the place for you. If you adapt quickly (or smoke) then you'll be fine. Beds are very firm. And low. Great if you like that. It's ~20 minutes by taxi from Hachinohe station - you're reservation may say Pacific Hotel if booked through an English language website, but locals only know it as the "Select Hotel Hachinohe chuo". Lots of *good* restaurants & shopping nearby.

  Hotel humilde y aceptable

  Hotel algo viejo y humilde pero cubre lo necesario. Limpieza y buen trato. Habitación correcta, se pueden abrir 2 maletas sin entorpecer paso. Cama cómoda, y en recepción tienes selección de distintos tipos de almohadas para cambiar sino te gusta la que ponen en la habitación. Tiene gel, champú y acondicionar cabello y cepillo dientes. En recepción hay cestas con cepillo pelo pegable y maquinilla afeitar desechable para que cojas. También dispone de paraguas de préstamo. Tiene máquinas de bebida con monedas. Desayuno oriental, básico pero suficiente y bastante rico. Ponen unos croissant por si no te apetece arroz, ternera o la guarnición.

  Way out of town!

  Due to the Aomori Festival causing all hotels in the entire region to be either sold out or overly priced we went to this one instead. I assumed it wouldn't be too difficult to jump a few JR Lines and Shinkasen it up to Aomori. I was almost correct. To get here you stop at Hachinohe Station. Then you wait. This hotel is located in Hon-Hachinohe, whose train comes every 32 minutes or longer. That's okay, we figured that out, but then when you do arrive at hon-hachinohe you'll have to take a taxi which may be there or you may have to wait another 30 minutes before another shows up in this tiny tiny tiny town. So, you think you can take a taxi from Hachinohe, sure if you want to spend nearly 50,000yen for that. In the end the room was the standard small Japanese hotel room, the staff was okay (they kept forgetting who we were though), and the location was just barely okay. I suggest if you're doing to do Aomori stuff, stay further south, or closer to an actual Shinkasen station.

  Good for its price

  The rooms are clean and comfortable, although a bit small. We liked the breakfast, with different things to choose, not many but good. The staff is friendly, especially the woman that prepared the breakfast. It's very close to restaurants and shops, but the way to the station by foot seems a bit long if you go with luggage, bacause it's a bit ragged... Although, it's not bad located and has a good price.
