  Best value for money

  The best value for money hotel I've stayed in Germany within the last 3 years of my business travels. SIngle room cost was 48 per night. I booked it because it was last minute, but I was expecting the worst because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised. The service is simply charming & friendly. Very hospitable. The rooms are quaint & have all the basic necessities. Even a TV. Neatly arranged & very clean. Breakfast is 8 & a good layout of options from cereal/muesli, milk, bread, spreads, eggs, ham slices, cheeses, juices, tea, & coffee. Located in the old city, it's a 2min walk to the old city square where you have multiple restaurants, takeaways, & bars. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Mönchengladbach.

  agree with other reviewers for value and location

  I know MG very well so the location of this place is ideal as it is bang in the middle of the drinking street (which now sadly only comes to life at weekends). Hotel Select is a very well run hotel that offers really good value for money. I had a twin room on the top floor for 50 euros per night, which was decent, modern design and spacious. The hotel does breakfast for 8 euros add on and it is excellent value for money as the spread is good and lots of choice. Hotel has wifi as well. Note. MG has taken a bit of a downturn in recent years and can be a bit quiet during the week, so if you are planning to go there you should bear it in mind. If you go there at a weekend then this hotel is in the perfect location to enjoy a few beers in MG.

  Football weekend in Germany

  Wonderful location and very friendly staff. Room was ideal and a welcome beer was very much appreciated. I am already planning a return trip and Hotel Select will be my first choice when booking.I did not have the breakfast but it looked very good.

  I love it

  Downtown place, near to everything. Staff so nice, manager so willing to help you out in any need you could have. 100 percent recommend. A warm place in the cool monchengladbach during winter season .......

  Great for staying in Old Town

  Excellent hotel in the Old Town, a few mins walk to bars and restaurants. Efficient and very friendly staff. Room was comfortable and included everything we needed. Didn't have breakfast, but the dining area looked inviting. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
