  Deep in the country

  This Hotel is in a lovely spot. As a Somerset lad I warm to rivers and rolling hills and I warmed to this hotel. Unexpectedly excellent especially for where it is! Big rooms in anenexes that they open up as demand calls. So get out your bike or walking shoes or visit a castle ot two and there's a startling viaduct not far away

  Shame....this could be such a great place

  Stayed just one night on a business trip. On the plus side this is a cute little stately home (castle?) turned into a hotel. The village is rural and quaint. From the outside the hotel looks nicely restored and cared for with a nice little garden Ate in the restaurant out on the lovely courtyard. Menu was small, but the the food was delicious German country fare. Service in the restaurant very friendly. Breakfast was limited but fine. On the downside, the hotel check in was not very friendly at all. My room was not in the main building, but across the road in a non discript building from the 1980ties. Uncared for car park with weeds everywhere, no signage on floors, worn out room with an old TV and furniture from a different age of hotels. No wifi in this building (although there seems to be wifi in the main part) and no mobile data in that part of the village. Signs to please check out by 10am. Only thing the room at going for it was that it was clean. This could be such a lovely place with a bit of work on service, dumping the rooms in the second building and sprucing up the main part of the hotel. Should really rate the restaurant separately as it was quite nice. Ok for a night, but a real shame.

  Super connection to Stuttgart and close to the Autobahn.

  Stayed here on a thru trip to a business meeting with my corgi's again. Somewhere where I will definitely stay again. I love the old stone stairs to the first floor. Rooms are a little in need of modernization, but don't hold yourself back. Bed was great and the bathroom was not a broom closet. Definitely an Insider tip, with the chance to walk down to the River and be in green within seconds.
