STAY AWAYThe worst experience I ever made in a restaurant I opted for dumplings with porcini mushrooms and it was like dogfood. Really disgusting! Waitress was really impolite and rude and i decided to pay and go away as far as possible. STAY AWAY!

Nice hotel great locationOne night stop on the Alta Via 2 and the hotel was perfect for us. The room was average size by European standards but the beds were comfortable and I slept well. The attached restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was brilliant. Wifi was good and free. Not a lot of English spoken but friendly and helpful staff.

EXTREME CAUTIONI had booked a three person room and this was confirmed. On arrival I was shown a shoe box with two single beds on the ground floor behind reception. In due course the Owner appeared and advised that somebody had needed our booked room more than us. We decamped elsewhere and vowed never to set foot in this hotel again.

Perfect place for a ski vacationWe came as a group of 9: 5 from Canada and 4 from England - to ski the Dolomites for a week. Hotel Savoia was the perfect place to be based, a 1 minute walk to the slopes, a gorgeous spot at the top of Passo Pordoi, and a family, friendly, homey vibe that perfectly suited our needs. This is not a standard hotel, it's an auberge, so some of the things you are used to with hotels you won't have at a place like this, but if you want a base for skiing or biking or hiking, this place will work out great. Our group of nine was nourished, cared for and appreciated for the week we all stayed there, and the skiing was fantastic! Some quirks - weak wifi and not always available in the main areas, keeping your dinner/breakfast napkin in an envelope for a series of meals (was washed once during our 6 night stay), odd translations on the dinner menu.

Had a great lunch with amazing views and good serviceOn a day trip to the Dolomites we wanted lunch. As we were on a tight schedule and didnt want a long wait we went here as it was quiet. We were met by a very friendly and helpful waitress. The food was good and came in good time. The views from the place are amazing, it was a far better experience than some of the others that were packed and cramped. An enjoyable meal, thank you, we would love to come back sometime.
