  Glan y Môr, Wales School Ski Trip - Excellent value

  We visited Santa Caterina for the first time in Feb 2013. We were greeted by the most helpful receptionist Luca who made our stay one of the best since that I have been organising ski trips for my school for 18 years. Food was excellent and all staff were obliging and made us feel special. Thank you again for your hospitality Kelvin Pleming

  The Best Hotel on the Amalfi Coast

  My fiance and I spend four spectacular days at the Santa Caterina. From the moment we arrived we felt as though we received individual service and attention. Our room was wonderful and spacious, with a great view of the mediterranean and gardens. The pool deck is magnificent as well, with a quick jump into the mediterranean.

  Great hotel

  Beautiful hotel, great food and lovely hosts. The best place to stay in Santa Caterina! Our room had beautiful view of the town and the mountains, the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. Can reccomend Hotel Santa Caterina to everyone!

  Lake Orta

  We spent 3 nights here and it was quite a frustrating stay. One staff member was really very obstructive and we had very different experiences. Our friends had air conditioning available all the time despite the website indicating air conditioning was an extra cost. We had to ask each day for the air conditioning to be put on (it was controlled from the reception area) even though we had said we wanted to pay for it. When we settled the bill we did get this cancelled due to having to ask each day but our friends were not charged. This rather spoilt the stay especially as we seemed to get the one grumpy member of staff all the time. Also, it was very hot whilst we were there. The rooms are very basic with little space to hang clothes or put things away. WiFi is only available in the lobby. Our room was only cleaned once during our stay as the cleaners came to our room so late (5.30pm) when we had been out all day. On the plus side : the breakfasts are FANTASTIC. The variety was amazing with so much available for vegetarians, like freshly cooked aubergines, courgettes, sun dried tomatoes and cheese to die for. The breakfast almost made up for the other frustrations. There is also coffee,tea, juice, water and cakes available through the day which is a nice touch. Orta is a wonderful area with fabulous eating places and sites and swimming in the lake is a wonderful experience. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes but be prepared and remember the breakfast is worth it.

  Visited in ski season

  Amazing hotel very good with dealing with issues at reception, good that you can ski in/ski out, nice food and comfy bed, amazing views of the resort from balconys from the rooms. 100% recommend. Best holiday Ive been on!
