Read the cancellation policy / Read the location description

Miles from Cinque Terre (regardless of what the front desk tells you) Tried to cancel with a week to go and they said I needed to read the cancellation policy -- no refund -- issued a gift certificate but we will never be going there -- they kept the entire two nights fee $500 -- arg -- try another hotel, i should have read these reviews first

Spectacular Coastal Location, Good Alternative to Staying in the Cinque Terre

Much recommended, this hotel is directly on the beachfront in San Terenzo, and a short walk from Lerici, another beautiful seaside setting just south of the better-known (and sadly, overcrowded) towns of the Cinque Terre. There are several hotels in San Terenzo/Lerici but this is the only one on the beach side of the roadway and may be the main reason it is rated 4 stars instead of 3. Our large balcony had an unimpeded view of the sea, the crescent of the beach, and charming town of San Terenzo. The room was spacious but not luxurious, the breakfast was good, and the view was unmatched. There are many good restaurants, nice beaches, and a lovely walkway between the two towns of San Terenzo and Lerici. For us, it was a wonderful way to decompress. From Lerici you can take a short scenic boat ride to Portovenere where you can also catch another boat to the Cinque Terre. On the way to San Terenzo from Milan, when the train passed through the railway stops for the Cinque Terre, the platforms were mobbed (they have recently had accidents). Sadly, the Cinque Terre has become too well known and is overwhelmed by tourists.

    Just Perfect

You can almost touch the sea from the bedrooms overlooking the coast. Comfortable rooms, very helpful and friendly staff. Ideal location and excellent restaurant on site. Have stayed many times and would highly recommend.

    Recommended!

If you want to wake up hearing the sound of waves and watch a wonderful sunset daily, this hotel is the best in the region! My stay was very comfortable, the staff were all very kind and helpful. The room was spotless clean, and all bright. The hotel itself was within minutes of walk to the adjacent beaches, the Villa Marigola, and the castle. A few things made me give a 4 stars instead of 5. I would have been very satisfied had there been a tea/coffee + kettle accessories in the room. Then, the hotel was slightly conventional using woolen blankets without covers. I was not too comfortable using those and ended up using only the white linen sheets which was fine at this time of the year. Nonetheless, everything else was perfect and I surely recommend it. Should I be in that region again, I would definitely stay there!

    Hotel San Terenzo

This is a boutique hotel with lovely rooms and fabulous views. We had booked at the last minute online and didnt know what to expect. When we got there we saw just one floor and were wondering how the rooms would be. We were in for a surprise. We had a fantastic room with a fabulous view. Once you opened the curtains, the view of the water was superb. We could open a door and go out to the deck which had lounge chairs. I sat there for a long time taking in the view of the beautiful city of Lerici. On one side you could see the sunrise and the sunset on the other. It was so comfy that I had to force myself to go out and explore the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they even gave us their own parking spot close to the hotel. They are well versed on the various ways in which you can explore the Cinque Terra area and patiently explained it all to us. There is a cafe cum bar in the basement overlooking the water , but we decided to go out and have dinner at a different place. Next time I would like to spend a few days at the hotel and enjoy going around the area. Definitely a good option to stay.
