Excellent quality Hotel split over a number of individual VillasA substantial property spread over a number of separate Villas of varying ages with the main part of the Hotel (Reception, Restaurant and Meeting Rooms) at its heart. Staff are excellent if, at times, one or two are a little "ditzy" - one took us to our room and asked us to return to Reception to get a map of the route to the Hotel car park - when we got there a few minutes later, she was surprised to see us! Also, one of the staff at breakfast (breakfast is taken in the restaurant or in the garden outside) repeatedly forgot to bring items to us. Design of the rooms, on the basis of ours, appeared a little eclectic, with no real theme to the paintings on the wall and a mix of styles and eras. Room itself was clean and well laid-out with plenty of storage, A/C and a flat-screen TV. Bathroom was clean (they seemed to change towels every day?), bright and functional with good over-bath shower pressure and ventilation. The Hotel has roads on two sides (it is effectively on a promontory between roads) but the roads are relatively quiet and the rooms have good double-glazing to sound-proof them anyway - we are both light sleepers and had no problem getting a good night's sleep. Food in the Restaurant is a classic case of you get what you pay for - quality is getting up towards Michelin Star, but as a result it is not cheap - we would definitely eat there again - dress code is casual, although some do dress for the occasion. Breakfast is an extended Continental breakfast, with plenty of local produce and an "of course" Sir attitude to customer service where nothing is too much bother and if something runs out, simply ask and it will be provided. Hotel is just two blocks from the sea and a massive promenade - good for jogging if you're into that sort of thing, although the Hotel has a large supply of on-site bikes for hire (Euros 10 per day if I remember correctly) with an area for storage when not being used, and La Baule has an extensive spread of dedicated bike-lanes. Plenty of good restaurants nearby if you fancy a change from the Hotel restaurant and the main street for shopping (Avenue du General de Gaulle) is just a few blocks away too. N.B.: La Baule is a maze of really confusing one-way roads, therefore the easiest way to access the Hotel is to go along Avenue Georges Clemenceau, turn down Avenue des Petrels (one-way) and go almost to the end of the road - just before you arrive at the the junction, on the right there is an opening (last opening) - this is the access to the Hotel car park which has room for about 8 cars if everyone has parked correctly. I suggest that you park there and then walk up the stairs to the Hotel to check in, to save having to drive around the streets looking for a space.

Lovely stayWarmly recommended the St Christophe was a lovely place to stay all around. The grounds, facilities, room, bedding, restaurant and service all excellent. Our six day stay was a pleasure from start to finish and we were very well taken care of on the Demi-pension.

Service DrivenThis Comfortable service driven Hotel with excellent and sensibly priced restaurant is becoming a favourite of mine . The bedrooms are in adjoining converted houses and the decor is pretty contemporary with good use of strong colours . Two minute walk to a fantastic market and five minute walk to the beach. Its a little on the pricey side if you want the best room but its quiet and understated throughout

The perfect getaway for a coupleHad a great 1 night stay at Saint Christophe hotel. The grounds, the room, and the location are perfect. The staff are very professional and welcoming. If you're looking for a quaint hotel just a short walk from the beach, look no further. We'll return.
