  Mega value for money

  It's an old classic hotel attached to a new building so it has an old part and a new part in very tasteful and modern combination. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, corresponding to 5* hotels in Vienna.

  Overated

  Completely overrated on one hand but a must try on the other. Its like being on los angeles and not trying pinks hot dogs ;-) The service was great but we did have to wait in line so be patient. They do have a stand outside the cafe which sells the sacher torte

  Excellent and charming hotel

  We stayed here with two teenage boys in a suite that was two connected rooms, which were located in the 'old' part if the hotel. These rooms had character, including a wooden balcony looking out onto the valley, but also had all required comforts and conveniences (including excellent air conditioning). In addition, the rooms were very comfortable, with a decent amount of space and overall, very good value for money. Any staff we encountered were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. We were fortunate to stay during a period of warm, sunny weather and therefore enjoyed superb breakfasts on the terrace every morning. The selection on offer at breakfast really is a treat and worth a stay on its own. The location for us was perfect, being a pleasant 20-30 minutes walk from the centre of town or a few minutes in the car. The town of Baden bei Wien was a pleasant surprise as we expected it to be more suitable for mature customers, but during our visit it was a vibrant town with a food festival and outdoor music. It is also a convenient base to visit many different areas. It is also very convenient for the Thermalbadstrand, which on a sunny day is a hive of activity and families enjoying the various water attractions and thermal water bathing. The one unusual aspect of this hotel is that there is no evening bar or restaurant, but given the choice of places in the town this wasn't a problem for us. After 4 nights here we thought this to be a wonderfully comfortable and charming hotel and have no hesitation recommending it.

  Nice hotel but no atmosphere

  Came here for a New Year celebration - hotel is situated on edge the lovely town of Baden - whilst classed as a 4 Star Hotel, it lacked 4 Star service - the New Year was stated as a Gala evening - there was no atmosphere, no entertainment, no bar, no fireworks and little staff - highly disappointing night, it seemed the hotel did not care or had any interest in giving its predominantly British guests a New Year to remember - food was not 4 Star standard and not offered much choice - staff was friendly but did not feel welcome - okay hotel but not really 4 Star

  Gala New Year Dinner - Vienna - with Leger Coaches

  It was perhaps the very worst New Year Holiday we have ever experienced.The hotel was okay as far as the bedroom was concerned and the staff were very good however a) food was poor b) there was no bar or lounge area c) the New Year celebrations were non existent d) the hotel at Baden was too far out of Vienna to be convenient. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a function related stay.
