  Amazing time in hotel Rose

  Staying in this hotel for the second time already and everything was perfect. :) Stuff is very friendly and happy to help with anything. Breakfasts are delicious. I can only recommend this lovely hotel.

  Simple and sweet

  Exceedingly friendly owners, clean and simple hotel among farm houses in a pretty village-town where we started our bike trip down to the Adriatic. Great restaurant in town is Gasthaus Adler, very good Tyrolean cuisine and a nice setting outside in the town square.

  Wonderful two night stay!

  Spent two nights here while traveling through South Tyrol. Gorgeous hotel, exceptional service, best meals I had in Italy! Take the half-board, it is the best deal you will ever fine and the dinners are exquisite! Also loved the town of Villabassa; very easy to navigate and walk around, friendly people, beautiful architecture and decorated houses, lovely farms with the sound of cowbells surround the village, in a stunning pastoral setting, in the wide immense green valley with the mountains in the background. P.S. I know that is a run-on sentence, but that is the best way I can describe all of this. The hotel owners and the entire staff are quite helpful and very quick to help you, the dinners were served with impeccable style and everything was incredibly awesome!

  Nice clean comfortable hotel in good quiet location. Good meals and staff.

  Stayed 6 nights at this hotel on the first floor. Room overlooking river behind hotel. Room a little small but nevertheless comfortable and clean. Bathroom adequate. Buffet breakfast nice and well presented. Evening meals were varied, nice and sufficient in quantity. Staff were friendly and efficient. Garage available to store push bikes if cycling holiday. Bar area warm and comfortable as well. Very short walk into main part of town and railway station and nearby bus services.

  Relaxing hotel next to stream

  The Hotel Rose is conveniently located on a quiet street near the town center. A small stream flows through town and next to the hotel which helps to create a peaceful stop on your journey. All of the staff were friendly and helpful with any questions or needs. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and charming. Tables outside the hotel were a relaxing place for a beer and conversation with other travelers. Our dinner at Hotel Rose was delicious, with plenty of choices, from octopus to wiener schnitzel. The buffet breakfast had many options, with the traditional sliced meats and cheese, fresh fruit, pastries, and bread. It appears the hotel is a popular stop for cyclists as they bike through the Tyrol valleys. We would definitely stay here again. Everything in Niederdorf is within walking distance. The church and cemetery are good stops. Outside Chiesa di Santo Stephano, the main church built in the 1790s, there is a Gothic 15th century chapel. Inside there are several paintings by well-known Austrian artists of that time. The cemetery is a reminder of how WWI impacted the lives of so many families in this area. Up the hill from town is a small apiary. It is interesting because the beehives are gathered together in units of ten. Continuing up the hill you have a beautiful view of the town and valley.
