Owner managed family hotel with great flexibility and good valueThis is not an impersonal Marriot type Hotel - in fact the Hotel owner even helped dig our car out of the snow on our final day! (just try getting that help at a Marriot) The Hotel is nice, local Italian staff, extremely handy for the ski bus service (in either direction), the rooms are a decent size and it all runs well. The staff are more helpful than you could imagine - nothing seems too much trouble and the owner clearly allows for their discretion and flexibility. Breakfasts vary by day (good) and are adequate for a days skiing on the mountain. Evening meals also vary and again, there is flexibility. Remember what you are paying for all this too - the Hotel is extremely good value, especially in this area.

Ski hotel with CrystalOur room was very spacious with a balcony, perfect for sitting in the sun and for taking in the wonderful view of the setting sun. The bathroom was equally large, supplied with fresh towels. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The availability of a sauna and jacuzzi were a deciding factor for us when choosing this hotel. Hardly anyone else made use of these facilities which was lovely for us having them to ourselves. With all these positives it is a shame that we found meal times - especially in the evening - a real test of endurance and patience. Breakfast - a wide selection which satisfies most palettes. However, don't even try the fruit juices- they are so watered down. Just buy some from the Coop! Evening - choices are made the previous night and are generally fine, but as previously said, vegetables don't feature except cold in the salad buffet. What is extremely poor in the evening is the service. Never have we had to wait over 40 minutes for a main course to arrive and even then it was cold. Regularly, we were over looked by our waiter who preferred to serve tables who had entered the dining room later than us. We even varied our entry time into the dining room to see if we would be served quicker but it made no difference at all! What did happen was that the salad bar was empty! As for the free "wine" - it's an insult to call it that. Why not stop giving this watered down wine and give decent fruit juice at breakfast? People will pay for decent wine - as we did.

A wonderful, friendly hotel in a great locationHave just returned from a fantastic skiing holiday in Campitello staying at this friendly, comfortable and welcoming hotel. The location is excellent - opposite the ski hire shop (and has a good boot/ski room with heated boot rack), opposite the bus stop which takes you to the gondola straight to the slopes (although it's a 7 min walk) or up to other resorts (Alba, Canazei), and a 5 min stroll into the village with some great, traditional bars. The hotel itself has a lovely, cosy bar selling a selection of good value drinks. Breakfast has a good selection of options, hot and cold. Dinner is varied and really tasty. A lot of thought goes into the meals on offer. The staff at the hotel deserve a mention - they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and that you have all you need. All in all a great holiday, great value for money and will definitely return. Would absolutely recommend for a ski holiday exploring the beautiful Val di Fassa!

Great place to stay, helpful staffWe stayed as a family as part of a larger group. The hotel was perfectly placed opposite the equipment hire shop which made life very easy for collection and drop off. The hotel is also opposite a ski bus stop on one side of the road, and has stops either side of it on the other side, so again little walking needed. The hotel itself is very pleasant. Our family room was very large, and access to 2 balconies. lots of storage space. We asked for 2 extra pillows and got them straight away. The staff are friendly and helpful. I am gluten free and they were fantastic at providing me with gluten free alternatives for the evening meal, even providing pasta dishes which were very tasty. The breakfast options were very limited for me, either yoghurt or sometimes tin peaches/pears, and eggs. Fortunately I took my own cereal. The nearby Co-op has a great gluten free section. The wine in the evening was watered down, but was enjoyable and meant sociable evenings and no sore heads the next day. The Bar prices in the hotel were very reasonable too, and a good range of drinks. Alcohol free beer would be a welcome addition though. Special shout out to our waiter Robert who was fantastic for our vegetarian friend ( who isn't keen on veg). He asked our friend to just write his food choice on the option list and they cooked it for him..fantastic service, even greeting him by the middle of the week with a hot choc at breakfast before he'd even asked for it. Overall the hotel was a great part of what was a great week of skiing for our friends and us.

A good hotel in a lovely areaWe stayed as part of a group. Overall the hotel was very good. Our room was spacious and beautifully cleaned each day. Lovely towels and enough storage space. The bed was reasonably comfortable. Pillows were feather, and I have an allergy... as soon as I explained to the manager the pillows were replaced and he was very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were average. We had to wait to be served coffee by the staff rather than use the machines ourselves. The coffee was often weak or tepid. Cereals bread and cakes were fine, but some fruit would have been nice. My friend needs gluten free diet and the hotel staff were very helpful, always making sure her food was safe for her. Dinner was good, the wine was watered down, but actually quite a nice drink after a day on the slopes. Other drinks were well priced and the bar area was nice. Ski bus stopped outside and buses were frequent to the lifts. Wifi wasnt great, but not a problem.
