Don't come here if you want to sleep! The hotel is old and not sound proof at all... You hear the music of the bar, people in the stairs... Impossible to sleep and after 2 calls at the reception to gently ask to lower the music... Nothing changes! It is not an hotel, it's a pub!

Charm of the past timesThe Hotel Ritzi offered unusual accommodation compared to the modern Hotel chains. Thematic rooms, my last was ''surf'' room. For the guest who is looking for the standards of modern 4* Hotels is better not to book a room in Hotel Ritzi. First thing - no elevator. Hotel is lovely, with the charm of the past times. Great location, close to the metro station, close to tram station. Opposite of the Hotel is a public Garden, very quiet area. Breakfast Restaurant is not too big. Offered food and drinks are quite good. The entire staff is very professional, polite, motivated for a work. The bar is open after midnight, not too many places in that area with similar working time.

Very dated and run down; needs some workTough place to be comfortable in. No elevator, and rooms are pretty dark and sparse. Only one hanger in my closet. Shower is tiny, and closing/opening room doors is noisy affair since use large metal keys. I also found the breakfast buffet lacking good fruit options -- just a bowl of chopped fruit that included canned fruit, and no bananas. Only egg option was soft boiled in shell. Friendly staff but will stay somewhere else next time.

Perfect traveling to Oktoberfest and Escaping to a more peaceful locationWe stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, initially i was disappointed when i found that our room looked nothing like the newly renovated room that was displayed when we booked it online. However, we came to really enjoy our stay, it has a great location across from the park that makes it great for morning runs and evening strolls and also made for a great view outside our hotel window. The hotel is located on the main subway line that leads directly to the Okfobterfest grounds, which made it easy for traveling there and back (especially before the major crowds jump on) and gave us a peaceful location to unwind away from all the festivities. We were pleased to find that a breakfast buffet was included as well, which was above and beyond our expectations (especially the quality of cappuccinos and coffee.) Although it is an older hotel without an elevator, we were charmed by the hotel and friendly staff and would happily stay here again next time we come to Munich.

Very nice hotel -- I will stay here againI chose this hotel primarily because of its location near friends in the neighborhood. It is in a quiet location across the street from the park. Excellent access to public transportation, but a half hour walk will get you to the center. There is no elevator/lift -- so know this when you are booking your room. The bed was comfortable and everything serviceable (although, the shower did leek). The day and early evening receptionists were beyond terrific -- helpful, accommodating, just lovely. The young woman who worked the Friday & Saturday shift was marvelous. She went beyond the call of duty to be helpful. The breakfast was exactly what you would expect in a nice German three star hotel -- enough choice and really excellent breads and a nice selection of cheeses and meats. On the down side, my room was characterized as for business travel, which is odd because there was no desk and no place that was convenient to work (only a wicker chair and a low table in a part of the room without very good lighting), although there seemed to be plenty of business people at breakfast. All in all, a charming place with funky decor and a packet of gummi bears on the pillow instead of chocolates-- I will stay here again when I'm visiting friends. Well done, all.
