  Week-end in Valsassina

  We stayed there for 2 days, the hotel was cheap and clean. There was also restaurant where we could taste good local specialities. All around the hotel, there are the mountains with a lot of paths where we did some excursion, and is 10 Km far from Lake Como.

  Sassi rossi

  Stayed four nights, the welcome was friendly and the staff were excellent and the food and wine was lovely if they served it that day, by that I mean not everything on the menu was served every night. The views were beautiful but that was the good part over. The beds were like torture racks, douvet was dirty, no hot water only very slightly warm even after running it for ten miniutes. Balcony looked onto a walk in fridge that hummed all night only to be drowned out by the slap of the fibreglass roof as it curled in the wind then flew back against the wood underneath. The rooms were clean but i had a socket in my room hanging off the wall and the general decore was somewhat poor. The place needs an influx of money and tlc. You are miles from anywhere which may suit some people but because of this the Sassi Rossi is your only choise of restraunt if you dont want to drive.

  Good dinner, less athmosphere

  We were there only for dinner, not at the weekend. We didn't get pizza. But the dishes were very good. The price is ok. The light in the dining room could be nicer for a better athmosphere. Maybe replaced? The service girl was at the beginning not very motivated...but at the end ok.

  Week inside tranquility

  Great hotel, tre stars places inside full nature, yesterday was snowing and this situation increased such suggestion. Good rooms, completely clean, no noice good worm in the night. Dinner great service, they served a tagliere with tipycal local cheese, deere, pork, and salame. Specially bresaola of Valtellina. Good others dishes. Breaks for good simple, but with a lot of choise, marmelade, briches juces,water and so on. Kindly support from the Owner he was been completely availble to give us many suggestion for passing a good sunday around Como Lake. There is only a little observation about bathroom, needs some little maintenace on some idraulic points just to have full worm water on all points. By the way great great positive judge.

  Nice traditional food

  The restaurant is a wide place where to eat traditional food. We end there wits a smartbox and we have been very satisfied of the food and quantities. We had sciatt, pizzoccheri and cervo con polenta which were all tasty. Suggested
