  Charming, modest, quirky hotel

  The Hotel Ringkjobing is housed in a 400-year-old building in an old Viking town. It's charming and quirky, with historical furnishings in well-loved condition. Clean with a very friendly staff. Pub downstairs with local beer and traditional Danish food. Book a table if you want to eat there; it's popular with the townspeople as well as tourists. Good for a family or couples visit if you like historic places. (When you reserve, ask for a room in the historic building, not the modern annex. The historic section is not wheelchair accessible, however.) This hotel is less well-suited for business stays: there's not much of a working area and the rooms are lit for relaxing, not working. I had a presentation the next day and ended up as the only person in the pub with a computer. I can also recommend Ejvinds Bakery down the street as a daytime workspace - it closes at 1730.

  Buena relación calidad / precio

  El hotel está muy bien ubicado, en el centro de Ringkobing. Hay dos edificios, uno mas moderno que el otro y las habitaciones son diferentes en ambos. El hotel cuenta con parqueadero gratuito, lo cual es muy util para caminar por el centro del pueblo. El staff es amable y servicial, las habitaciones son cómodas y limpias. El restaurante es bueno y el barman es super amable. Con gusto volvería a este hotel.

  Great location but disappointing

  The best part about this hotel is the location. Its right on the square with easy access to everything and parking is easy in the back. We booked the suite and were excited to relax here for a couple of nights after spending 2 weeks traveling around. We arrived just after noon and stood around for a while waiting for someone to help us. Then I finally knocked on the kitchen door and they sent someone out. A younger guy who spoke English seemed friendly enough but then an older women who didn't seem to speak English growled something at him and he said sorry, no check-ins until after 2, the rooms aren't ready. I said "you don't even check to see what room I'm in - maybe it is ready" and he responded "she said come back after 2". Then when we finally did come back later in the afternoon check in was simple enough but not very friendly. The suite is pretty big with two nice couches and a big tv but other than that it was all very dated and not maitained very well. The windows frames are unpainted in spots and they don't close tight. The jacuzzi tub had a short in it so it would only stay on for about 3 seconds. It finally worked and stayed on for 10 minutes then had to keep pushing the button again for about 5 minutes before it stayed on again for another 10. Very frustrating. Breakfast was also a disappointment. Nothing warm. The only eggs were hard boiled, which is the norm for the location but every other hotel I stayed at durring a two week trip had scrambled eggs and either sausage or bacon or both. Getting to our room was also a little strange. We had to go to the building next door and go up some very narrow steps which isn't a problem without luggage but was hard to manage with luggage. We also didn't like that coming from the parking you have to walk through a small alleyway where the guest and staff are smoking. After doing that a couple times we had to start walking around the hotel and going in a different entrance. We enjoyed the town and surrounding but wouldn't stay here if we return.

  Great burger for lunch!

  We did not stay in the hotel - this time, but had done on a previous trip about 25 years ago! Sat outside at lunchtime, having had a look at the menu. The burgers were huge and tasty too. Lovely meal and extremely filling.

  An Inn atmosphere - with poor and slow service

  It could have been good. Center of the town square, atmosphere of a local Inn - but - we had to ask to be seated, we had to ask for the menu, we had to ask to order, after 45 min we had to ask for the food - and the food was nothing to write about - and finally we had to line up to pay.
