  very decent 3 star hotel

  Had to stay overnight in Stavenhagen, not the most exciting place in the world. Found Reutereiche and got an offer for 43 per night including breakfast. I was quite curious what it woould be like... it turned out to be a easonable big hotel in an industrial park. Built i guess about 20 years ago. Nice big rooms a good and firm matrass an a clean bathroom with shower. The couch and desk are s bit dated but still in goof condition. The food in the restaurant was ok. Price/quality ok as well. Would I go back? If I have to stay in Stavenhagen again I think I will.

  Found this hotel late in the night

  I had trouble finding a hotel on my way and ended up in Stevenhagen and Reutereiche. As a hotel is was quite average but clean, I would even say that it was typically boring 3 star hotel. BUT the service was excellent; I arrived late and restaurant was closed but ladies in reception and bar went the extra mile to set up a plate with cold cuts and bread, and with a beer that just tasted so nice! Not exactly a hotel to spend many nights but if you are in the area this could be an affordable option.

  Incredible price/quality-rate

  Thanks to the fact that all Germans had their holiday too, we found this affordable hotel in Stavenhagen. It turned out to be a real 'Geheimtip' [tip for insiders]. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are rather spacious and the breakfast buffet is included in the low price. The only improvement we could think of is air conditioning, for really hot days.The restaurant is opened till 22 pm and offers beside a attractive, changing menu of the day also some 'Ostalgie' [GDR-dishes] like Soljanka and Kalter Hund. There were several groups in the hotel; Stavanhagen is very usable as base for daytrips to Rostock, Stralsund and the Mecklenburger Seenplatte [Waren at only 20 miles/ 32 km]. In immediate vicinity is Ivenack with a millennial oak.
