  new owners excellent restaurant

  I haven't stayed in the hotel but i had lunch in the restaurant yesterday. I don't have enough words to express the great experience we had. The bacalau was perfectly prepared and the personnel professionally trained.

  A taste of Portugal in the south of Luxembourg!

  Nice new Portuguese restaurant in Belvaux (Luxembourg). Décor is modern and stylist. Staff are friendly (and numerous!). Good wine menu. Food portions are very big (maybe too big). We had baccalau (dried cod) which was maybe TOO tasty (cod is best if the ingredients are kept to a minimum). I could hardly finish my main dish (luckily I didn't have a starter). But I'll be back again soon!

  Great local hotel

  We ended up booking this hotel due to shortage of hotel rooms in and closer to Luxembourg but no regrets. This is a Portuguese hotel and restaurant (only Portuguese wines!) in a modern style in a residential area. My room was small but well equipped and modern, and I enjoyed my two nights. Restaurant was good and we had a great meal (never got so much veal on a plate ever). Only minus is breakfast: very basic with a small glass of OJ hand brought by the waitress/receptionist, and the coffee is machine prepared. Good service from staff and a place I would be happy to visit again.

  Lovely hotel and staff were exceptional - don't order breakfast and check prices

  Arrived early and was shown to room which was compact and great. Ordered breakfast for the morning and was shocked at the price when removed from my card. Hotel staff were lovely and tripped over themselves to help. Had I not have ordered breakfast this would have been a 5* experience. Went down for breakfast. Waited 10 minutes to be shown to a seat. Where the girl was lovely she was run offer her feet, was the only staff and the hotel was full. They had run out of bread, cheese, coffee machine needed filled. I asked if there was a hot option for food and she pointed to some cold scrambled eggs. I explained they were cold and not enough of them for one person but ended up telling her not to worry as she was so stressed. Had to ask for bread, crossiants and ham. I was charged excessively for breakfast which was not explained to me. I would stay in this hotel again but would not order breakfast, as it ruined the experience.

  Recommended stay if you visit Belval area

  Place is located in a small town of Belvaux. If you have meeting in Belval it will take you app 30 minutes to reach there on foot. Good nice morning walk. Belvaux is quiet and safe during the nite. All was great with this place. Owner is very friendly and funky and he will also prepare and serve you breakfast in the morning. If you like you can also visit his restaurant place which is just bellow in the evening and have a great pizza or other Italian dish. Place is very clean and I like bathroom the most as it was big and very clean. All the essentials were provided. Internet was free and with great speed. The only thing to improve is to notice the guests if the mini bar is for free or not. There was no info on the prices of the things that were in the fridge. They also did not asked me at the end if I took something (I did not thought), so I presume that mini bar is like complimentary. Which if true is a nice perk.
