  Wonderful retreat

  After spending a couple of weeks driving around the Meditteranean climates of the S. Balkans it was a real treat to spend a weekend up in the mountains in the lush surroundings of hotel Gacka. We rented a 2 bedroom cabin with fireplace and sauna. It was a great place to relax with the family and good views over the valley. This is a family owned resort and has been worked for three generations. The grounds are well maintained with lots of fruit trees and bushes. Food is made there with locally produced ingredients as far as possible. Everything was very clean and functional. The staff is very friendly and welcoming NOTE: Google maps and GPS do NOT accurately show the entrance to this hotel. There is a sign off of the main road so follow the signs.

  Perfection

  This is my second time at this place and I will always come back! Nice and warm rooms with smell of wood, perfect organic food, friendly stuff, great spa center and peace and quite that you get on this gem at the north of Montenegro are worth every euro!

  Beautiful Setting!! Medium Maintanance Levels......

  Gacka Hotel and Resort is a holiday village on its own, with scattered wooden houses of different sizes, all situated on a lush green hillside. Great potential!! There is a closed swimming pool and spa, with additional sports facilities. We were on a half pension deal which included breakfast and dinner, which were both O.K. but nothing to write home about. The rooms could do with some maintenance. We were a large group and most of us had problems that shouldn't happen at a place with such rating. Some of the rooms had severe plumbing problems with leaks. Some of the rooms had hot water shortage. Some of the rooms were tiny to a degree that was almost impossible. Our room had a flat TV as advertised, but it wasn't connected to anything and was therefore useless. All these theoretically minor issues added up and made the stay less enjoyable. It is a pity, because the place has excellent potential and with a little more attention from the management could really be perfect. Gacka, Give it a try!! You can do better!!

  Different but nice

  At our arrival we were welcomed by the owner and more persons from the staff and offered a home made rakia. Very friendly staff. We were followed to our rooms which appeared to be in various small wooden houses. Dinner was prepared, everything organic. Same with the breakfast. The trip to the place is an adventure in itself with all the hairpin turns and traffic by narrow streets. No minibar. Rooms clean but somewhat damp.

  Group Visit of 15 people from UK

  Friendly welcome, fantastic location and good food. Recommend taking the 4x4 tour in the local National Park. In summer this would be an ideal location, but the hotel desperately needs a lounge area with comfortable seats. It has no lounge and with only the beds to sit on in the bedrooms this is not ideal, especially as a group.
