    Location first

Room: cramped as is the norm in Japan. Comfortable bed with different types of pillows upon your preference. Small bathroom with bathtub. Complimentary toiletries provided every day. Staff: professional and hospitable. Didn't let us check in early which was a disappointment. Location: best thing about the hotel. Konbini next door, plenty of restaurants and not too far from the main train station. Pro-tip: use the underground halls if you are rolling luggage from the train station, much more convenient than dragging them with you on the streets.

    Accessible, nice staff

Booked this hotel as its not as expensive as other hotels during peak period. Its considered as a 3 star hotel but its very good as rooms are clean, staff are smiling and always very helpful. I always find it endearing when bags are brought to the room while we were away to while the time before check-in time. Its just a few steps from the nakajima koen subway exit 2, and theres a near 711 store where you can buy your snacks etc. One station away is susukino where you can find a lot of good restaurants. And 2 stops away is O-dori where we enjoyed the first night of Sapporo beer festival.

    Best location!

The hotel was so easy to get to from the train/subway with luggage, even with snow on the sidewalk and street. Took the JR Rapid from the airport to Sapporo station, changed to the Namboku line(green line) to Nakajima Koen station. Go out exit #2 and there is an elevator, exit #1 is on the same side of the street as the hotel. You'll have to cross the street at the cross walk to get to the hotel which is about a 3 minute walk. Check in was easy, staff are nice and polite, but English is limited. I know Japanese hotel rooms are small, but the room is smaller than depicted in the pictures on hotel websites. We had two suitcases full of ski and cold weather gear along with our carry ons, so it was a bit cramped, but we managed. The location more than made up for the cramped quarters. There is a 7-11 2 minutes walk and a Lawsons 4 minutes walk to get whatever you need. The Nakajima Koen station is only 3 minutes walk from the hotel and one stop from Susukino, two stops from Odori and three from Sapporo station. You can find other hotels in the Odori/Susukino area, but a further walk from the subway. Two of the best nightclubs in Sapporo are 4 and 6 minutes walk from the hotel. If you go out late you wont need to drop a fortune on taxi fare to get back home. I will choose this hotel again next time I stay in Sapporo.

    Fantastic location ..

Rooms are small, even by Japanese standards. Done, thats the only negative aspect of it. The hotels location is great. Youre triple sandwiched between 3 convenient stores, 7 Eleven, Lawson Station & Seicomart. The subway (Nakajimakoen stop) is also yards away. Youre two stops from Odori & 3 stops away from Sapporo Station. Breakfast was equally pleasant too with a variety of options.

    Resol Nakajimakouen vs Sapporo Park

Both hotel located closed to Nakajimakouen Park and subway station (Namboku line). Both is old hotels but well maintained. Sapporo is bigger one and for rooms facing the park can enjoy excellent view especially during winter. Resol Nakajimakouen big advantage is price whose much cheaper than Sapporo Park (I checked their rates twice in 2017 and 2018). I stayed at Sapporo Park in December 2015 and Sapporo Park has better but much more expensive breakfast. Sapporo Park room is also bigger than Resol Nakajimakouen. Resol Nakajimakoeun is one of the best value hotels in Sapporo especially if you come during peak season ( we came during christmas). Nakajima is only one station away from Susukino and two stations away from Odori. If you are on budget, it would be better to stay at Nakajima which has beautiful park and museums to have fun.
