  Acceptable

  Plus: Good location, right next to the monument and close to other hotels and the beach. Spacious rooms, nice friendly and accommodating staff. Close to airport. Very clean. Minus: Mattress too hard and you can feel the spring. Some rooms facing the busy road could be noisy. Breakfast is very basic, never tried the restaurant but didn't look tempting. No elevators (4 floors). I was locked in bathroom because the handle was missing from inside and I didn't realise :).

  Not great, too expensive for what you get

  The hotel did not turn up to collect me at the airport as I had requested. My return journey to the airport cost 30,000 CFA (45 Euros) in the hotel's shuttle bus. The new airport is very far away. My room was not great, 2 single beds, I had asked for a double. The room was dark, on the first floor. The hotel is very noisy. I could hear reception's phone ringing during the night and people talking as the hotel is tiled and has an echo. The hotel is too expensive for what it offers 41,000 CFA (60 Euros a night in January?). There is no restaurant, just a room for breakfast and a small menu that the hotel can deliver as room service. No vegetarian or vegan choices. The location is also poor, it is beside a military training ground and the local beach is not great. I would stay somewhere else next time. The staff are friendly and helpful. My TV reception was very poor (basic channels only) but they tried to fix it. The Wi-Fi also was not good but they tried to fix it twice.

  Great team

  The staff is helpful and kind. The hotel is correct. The location is great but not interesting. The breakfast is great. The renaissance statue is nearby but need a walk and road crossing. The Wi-Fi is functional in the rooms.

  Financial Fraud and Corrupt Hotel

  I reserved this hotel online for 3 nights from one of the hotels booking websites. I paid USD 340 and had a guaranteed room. I arrived at the Hotel and they claimed they had no reservation for me and no room. They refused to return my money. In addition they refused to pay for a room in another hotel of a similar price range where I managed to find a room after much trouble. The hotel booking website has contacted them to recover my money. The hotel has refused. This Hotel engages in FINANCIAL FRAUD. Do not go there

  I'll give this place 4 stars for several reasons , first it's super clean, second it's very convenient to get to downtown and mid way to the Almadies area, then for comfort. The rooms are spacious with a small living room, fridge in room TV and decent service, the included breakfast is ok nothing major but fresh breads and pastries, juices etc.. Location can be a bit noisy if facing the major street, AC is a bit limited but ok, bedding average and bed is hard. Wi-Fi is decent. Dakar is expensive for hotels, this hotel offers the best rates for the type of room you get and for the area of "la corniche" walking distance from the main statue and also the beach mosque. Overall not a bad place considering you are in Africa. Some rooms offer balconies but it's a bit dusty in Dakar so not worth the time. Nothing near the hotel for food, but hotel has a small restaurant, bar and has drinks for sale. Access to hotel is a bit weird and it's best to reach from the top and walk down the stairs as you come across the round about. Catching cabs is convenient at the round about. I've stayed here several times in the past 13 months and have not had a bad experience yet. Always keep expectations lower in Africa then you get surprised from time to time.
