    Ideal.

If I went back to St Petersburg I would stay there again because the bus from the airport goes to Moskovskaya and you follow the blue line 9 stations up to Petrogradskaya, then it's a 10 mins at the most walk to the hotel. From Petrogradskaya you are only 3 stops to Nevskiy Prospect. The price was excellent with the 'low' ruble exchange including breakfast which was far more than I'd eat on a daily basis at home - self service cereal, bread, cheese and ham. Then you could order fried eggs, pancakes etc as well. We were there for 6 nights and it was very quiet. The walls are thin though and if you have noisy neighbours the receptionist will sort that out. If you don't want to go back into the centre to eat at the end of a day there's an excellent Georgian restaurant in the same street called RUSTAVELLI. Definitely worth a visit.

    Lovely stay

We stayed here from.June 15 till June 21 2015.I could not fault this hotel.Friendly and accommodating staff. The hotel was well run and spotlessly clean. We had dinner in the bar on Thursday night ,very enjoyable. Marina had the Pork dish, which she enjoyed. It was easy to get to all the sites via a 10 minute stroll to the metro.Next time we visit.....we will definately stay here .

Very clean and descent hotel, minor sound isolation issues

My goal was to find a hotel that would offer about 100 Euro per three nights in Saint Petersburg (in August 2016) and would not be located too far away from subway or the center. With price of 135 Euro per three nights, Regina hotel was my choice. Location is quite good, 10 minutes till Petrogradskaya or Chkalovskaya subway. The first station is just two stops away from Nevsky and is connected directly to Moskovskaya, where buses to airport can be found. I was not able to locate more hotels that are both reasonably priced and located close to subway. The hotel has quite nice door bell. It is important, because you will find that you can hear it from your room on the ground floor. The main issue in the hotel is relatively weak sound isolation. You will hear quite clearly what happens in the doorway, or if somebody taking shower. Next room also can be slightly overheard through the wall. So you should be tolerant to some external sounds and not willing to make noise yourself. However most of the time it is quiet so my sleep was never disturbed. The isolation issue is the reason why I can not rate this hotel on the top level. Otherwise, hotel is quite nice. Room was on a smaller side, which seems to be common for budget hotels in Saint-Petersburg. It is enough if you come to hotel just to sleep. Room had everything necessary - several wall sockets, good bathroom with shower cabin and hair dryer, individual air conditioner (not tested) and even a tiny fridge (powered off, so it is best to ask hotel staff how to make use of these). It offers free wi-fi (speed 5Mbps up/down), that occasionally experiences short breaks, but generally works. Breakfast (served till 11) is included, you will be asked by reception when you are about to have it. Breakfast served in quite small room, so hotel perhaps load balances the breakfast attendance, but when I came there, it was possible to have a seat. Breakfast contains tea/coffee, boiled eggs, youghurt, cheese and sausages, and you have to tell waiter lady whether you have omlette, scrambled eggs, pancakes or porridge, she will make that for you and bring to your table. I was provided with a kettle to my room by request, these are subject to availability. The hotel is very clean. The room is best characterized as a bedroom. Table is tiny. One chair. Two bedside tables. Nearby area is quite good. Malyj and Bolshoi Prospects (nearby streets) have great amount of grocery stores and eating places. The vicinity of subway station Petrogradskaya has several fast food places - Chaynaja Lozhka, Teremok, KFC, Pizza Hut and McDonalds. Some places are open till late.

    Lovely Staff

Our staying was for six night in St Peters burg in this calm hotel. The staff are really lovely, with a good English communication skills. The rooms are clean, calm and comfortable. The breakfast is acceptable with a good quality. The location is good. The only thing that I propose is to put electric kettle in the rooms. It was not easy to get boiled water for coffee or tea. As well, since this hotel has only to stories, it doesn't have an elevator and you have to take your luggage through staircase. Totally, I recommend this place for staying in St Peters burg. Thanks.

    Very good for the price.

I am from Indonesia and first time traveling to St Petersburg. My opinion for the hotel is. Inexpensive, clean and comfortable hotel. At winter, room comfortably warm, hot water working perfectly, clean room and bath room. Very nice and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable bed. Only little drawback is wall sound insulation, but for me it is not a big issue, because majority of guests isn' t noisy. Overall i am very satisfied. :-)
