Nice business HotelI stayed at the Hotel Reckord a few times already and it´s always been a nice stay. The rooms are clean, good size and the beds are good. The bar downstairs is really nice, the food is good, the drinks are priced well and the bar staff is really friendly and communicative. Breakfast is really good. I always enjoyed my stay here and will be back for sure.

Very Average Facility, Room is Old, and the Internet is Horrible !!!This is the 3rd time I've stayed here. It seems that the owner management is getting worse each time. Firstly, the room is small, no A/C, the bathroom is bare minimum, no hot water kettle was offered. No English TV channel at all. So, all the entertainment, has to come from internet. But, that's the worst part, the internet sucks !!! The only means for internet connection is through a FREE wifi service, which the connections drops so frequently, its very frustrating. I could not get any work down or had major difficulty downloading my email. The beds are small, but, the linen was comfortable. The breakfast was the bright spot, there were plenty of choices and the dining area was pleasant. I don't mind staying at this hotel, if they are willing to invest in internet service.

Good for short business breakFirst of all the staff are great and despite not speaking any German I've been made to feel very welcome every time I've visited. The restaurant serves very tasty food with really great steaks. Both the bar and restaurant have a good atmosphere on a week day! However it's important to note that on the weekend it's only open for Breakfast and whilst there are other choices there are more if you are prepared to drive. My room was quite big with a decent shower and a typical rural hotel bed. ( this isn't such a good thing) good quality mattress but a little on the small side and a very poor excuse for a pillow. Internet is a little hit and miss but to be fair to the hotel I believe that there is a problem in the area. I managed to use it most nights but it wasn't possible on two nights. Parking is good and the hotel is easy to find so I'd recommend it for working weeks but I may find somewhere busier if staying over the weekend.

Charming, Welcoming and ComfortableI am staying at this hotel on a business trip . When my company recommended a hotel near the office, I was expecting a typical dated and cold European hotel. Instead I found Reckord to be a warm, comfortable hotel that feels more like a Bed & Breakfast. The woman running it is Christa and is an absolute great, hard-workng host looking to help every guest feel comfortable. The rooms are spacious, super clean, quiet and comfortable. I slept like a baby. Everything I ate at the restaurant was delicious too. The hotel is located on a pretty quiet street and walking distance from restaurants, shops, parks and local historical sights. So even if you don't have a car you will be fine and can explore around the charming small town. I would just recommend that Reckord invests in better internet provider, as wifi can be spotty depending on where you are in the hotel.

Two night stayI was booked in by my company for a two night stay, as it is convenient for where I needed to visit. My German is poor, but all staff I met had a reasonable to good level of English and made me feel very welcome. Due to snow, my train was late arriving and I unfortunately arrived halfway through the meal my colleagues were already enjoying. This was no problem and freshly cooked dishes were very rapidly on the table in front of me. The meal itself was great (as was the breakfast). The bedroom was spotlessly clean and comfortable, if a little basic compared to the UK, ie no trouser press or tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Overall, a decent place to stay, with a superb warm welcome from the staff.
