Just ordinary hotel by the river.

During my current trip, I found this hotel might be a little bit peculiar. As most of you might aware, it becomes a standard practice in Japan that the check in time is after 3pm and the check out time is before 11am. They're very strict and rigid about this policy, so don't even try to adjudicate this matter since it'll only worsen the situation. Thats what not actually happened to this hotel, they don't allow people checking in before 3pm and on the other hand, they request all of the guest leaving the premises before 10am! Guess what is the breakfast time? Nope. Its 7-9am. Anyhow, the hotel is old but clean. My room was a large tatami style with futon. Safety deposit box was provided, automatic refrigerator intact so once you took out the drink it will be automatically added to your bill. There is a toilet with automatic wash-let as well as a bath tub and onsen style shower on each room. In order to use the onsen, you must bring your own small towel together with big towel. Small towel will be used to scrub your body. Make sure you clean up your body and take a proper shower before you enter the onsen. The onsen is standard with standard hot water temperature (usually 40'C?). However the rotenburo (open air bath) outside the onsen is not really good since the temperature is uncannily warm and not hot. I joined the buffet dinner menu for an additional ¥3100. The variety of foods are good, mini size sushi, mini size tempura, sashimi, teppanyaki (the meat is so hard and difficult to chew), plenty of rices (fried rice, steam rice, mushroom rice, kare rice etc), nice fresh seafood grill (prawn, clam, scallop etc), Chinese (dumplings, sweet & sour pork, broccoli pork, beef tendon tofu etc), desert corner (bite size tart, bite size cake, crepe, pudding, ice cream, soft ice cream, chocolate fountain etc). Standard drink is provided (ice water, coffee, ocha) additional cost for coke and juices. And please don't order beer since it costs ¥600-¥700 a glass. Travelling tip: 1. If you need to buy anything you can buy it at nearby 7 Eleven or HAC Drugstore. Actually you can buy different kind of drink, beer or even wine and hard liquor there. HAC Drugstore worth to pay a visit, it was really huge place and fun to see different kind of medicine, food, drink, vitamin, hair product etc etc. Btw, the location of both above-mentioned are just on the right hand side of the hotel. Less than 1 min walking distance. 2. There is a karaoke room inside the hotel premises, but if you want a cheaper version, just go to the opposite hotel across the street. They've karaoke box, billiard etc. 3. For meat lover, please go to Misono Tonkatsu near the Ito Station. Its worth to try. I'll have another separate review for Misono Tonkatsu.

    Amazing

Nice traditional Japanese style place. The floor of the room was beautifully covered in tatami mats. Has a nice breakfast and dinner buffet. Located near the river where they celebrated the lantern festival. A few minutes walk from Orange beach and Nagisa Park. Had the change to see the fireworks display and the Taiko festival. Nice onsen for couples. The staff is very friendly and respectful. Also the karaoke room was awesome.

The Hotel was good to have the hot spring experience

We could experience there the hot spring Japanese bath, everything was clean and very convenient. The food was good and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed the experience of sleeping in the traditional Japanese beds, rooms were spacious and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

    Great value

For a great price, we got a room for two including breakfast and dinner buffet and onsen spring. It was along the train line to kawazara so you can simply buy the ito two day pass to go there at a great price without the need to break the bank by living close the reason it guess quote expensive when you are close to the sakura sites.

Not as good as it looks, but great location

Wonderful location, near the station, the sea and traditional buildings. Excellent sakura walk nearby. The food is good if you like traditional Japanese. But the photo of the hotel was too good and our expectation was bit higher than it really was. The room was old, scenery was ok. Young staffs were really good but old gentlemen at the front desk were like taxi drivers...
