Restaurant Przy Oslej BramieI stopped to eat lunch after visiting the castle. It was the worst food I ever had. I ordered pork with gravy and dumplings. The gravy smelled like medicine. I endup only eating the salads. Next time I will pick different place for my lunch or dinner

Abominable visitForm the very moment I entered the restaurant I knew it was not going to be the most pleasant experience. As it turned out later on, I was so right... At first we waited to be served outside, when after 10 minutes of waiting I decided to ask for the menu. It was then when I was informed that service was not available on the outside seating. Naturally, we went inside, now contrary to what we experienced earlier, the waitress came three times in less then two minutes to take the order. Every time we asked for another 5 minutes... Well, she must have it personally as we were then waiting fifteen minutes to finally be able to order our food , after having to ask the lady. Be that as it may, I must admit the food wad actually quite good and ready in the flashes of the flashes. Overall, however, I would not recommend thus restaurant as a solid pick.

on its last legOutdated, moldy, dusty bedding, crumbling rickety stairs, rooms that have low ceilings (you will receive a few bumps on your head for sure), and unexpected steps. As a consolation, the restaurant attached to this facility is ok. The hotel should have been closed for renovations years ago, and all the bedding exchanged. You will be spending a few hours in line to get the tickets to the castle next door, so you will not be spending too much time in the room anyway...

Very nice rooms and a lovely gardenThe reception was friendly and helpful. We walked through the hydrangea bushes to get to our "apartment." They were really stunning. The apartment was huge. The bathroom was clean and had a shower (no bath). There was excellent lighting over the sink to shave. A rarity in modern hotels! The beds were comfortable and the windows opened up onto the quiet forest below. Breakfast was crowded but good. I do wish they would cook those eggs a bit more....

Needs some workWe got literally the last room in the hotel, so I can't complain about the room being a bit cramped. Furnishings and bedding are outdated, but this is not a major city so my expectations were not high. However, the main problem I had was the various smells that permeated the hotel. Clearly the restaurant is somehow connected to the hotel building, because as soon as you enter the stairway, you are smelling whatever is cooking, whether that's onions or cabbage. There is a built-in fan above the hallway window, but they don't use it in the winter. Clearly the kitchen itself needs proper ventilation! Our room was down a short hallway, which by contrast smelled like bathroom disinfectant. Yuck. Speaking of the bathroom, despite a fan being installed, as soon as I took a shower, I started smelling mold. Because of this, I would not stay in this hotel again. As far as the restaurant was concerned... the breakfast was barely passable... all the food sits under a warming light without refrigeration, which does not make it appetizing when you're eating a bit late. No kettle for making fresh black tea - this is a cardinal sin in my book. The dinner by contrast was quite good. I had the goulash with potato pancakes and the traditional Polish pickled salads. The tea came properly brewed in a teapot. Service was very good, especially by Polish standards. Since I speak Polish, I can't comment on how interactions in English would have gone.
