Little Gem overlooking the coastFriends recommended this hotel and we stayed for a week in July, 3 couples, all friends. It was more than we expected. Family run, It sits in a small square, high on a hillside overlooking the pool and the coast, room servicing every day was superb. We went in June and had a room with a sea view room, waking up and looking at the vista every morning was delightful while the kettle boiled to make tea in the room. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. It was hard not to go through the card, so I erred toward plenty, but reasonable healthy choices. We dined in their restaurant on the first night, the cuisine is mainly seafood and fish. The oysters were amazing, as was the friendly service and again you can have a table overlooking the bay, night time eye candy, perfect! Friendly staff and Management who you see every day, always with a warm greeting. There are five or so restaurants all just a few steps away from the hotel, so no cabs etc are necessary. These too are mainly fish and seafood orientated, but freshest I've had. You can get a spaghetti bolognaise and Lasagnes if you miss your meat. I found them all very reasonably priced. There are road trains which leave about every 30 minutes to take you to the small town of Gabicce Mare for a couple of euro return, taking you round the harbour and shops, getting on and off as you please. Of course it is hard to stay out of the Italian ice cream shops. Highly recommended , looking forward to going back soon. Thank you Samuele and staff for a great holiday!

Gem of a hotelReally lovely hotel in fabulous position overlooking the Adriatic. Bright airy bedroom with small balcony overlooking pool/sea. Very nice little poolside restaurant for light lunches , very attractive pool area with good quality pool towels provided. Very peaceful relaxation area on the roof with spa tub and loungers; my husband and I both had a full body massage- truly one of the best massages either of us has had for many years. Very stylish open plan reception and bar area with great views. Excellent dinner in beautiful panoramic restaurant, good choice of dishes with emphasis on fish. Following morning breakfast buffet with everything one could possibly want - sweet and savoury all served in the same fabulous panoramic restaurant. We will definitely return and would certainly recommend to couples seeking a relaxing break away from the crowds.

Nice and classyWe stayed at this hotel a few nights after getting married and this is exactly what we wanted. The hotel is located in the tiny village of Gabicce Monte and the beach is a 20 minutes walk away, you can either walk through a small hill or take the little touristy train to Gabicce Mare. We booked a sea view room and had the best sunrise/sunset view ever. The room was tiny but functional with different sets of towels, TV, safe, bathrobes and toiletries. We used the pool and it was very nice, drinks were not expansive and the bar staff was very polite. Breakfast was up to 5 Star standards, with plenty of choices... we loved having our morning coffee on the terrace! The hotel needs a small refurbishment as there are some small things which need to be improved (painting is starting to peel off, TVs are old, safe are not automated). Overall we had an amazing stay.

The most stunning viewsThis hotel is in a great location and the views are amazing. We had a warm welcome at reception. The surroundings areas are lovely with some beautiful places to walk to see the views. There are about 4 restaurants in the village. We booked last minute so I don't think we got the best room on the ground floor. The rooms above have balconies so you get to enjoy the views. The rooms are clean, however, the tops of the wardrobes could have done with a clean as our cases were dusty when we took them down! I'd say the rooms are 'traditional' maybe in need of a bit of modernisation! The bathroom is really clean with clean towels daily but again a bit dated, maybe this is the charm of the hotel. Breakfast is lovely and the gentleman waiter is so lovely. The restaurant is lovely with panoramic views (day and night) One thing to note is you pay for anything tihat's not on display, I asked for fried eggs and was surprised to see this added to the bill!! The restaurant looked lovely but we never ate there as it was mainly seafood and I'm not the hugest fan, the panoramic views at night looked beautiful and romantic though, so a beautiful setting. The pool is lovely with plenty of Sun beds and towels. Be warned the pool isn't heated :) there is a bar with waiter service and drinks are really reasonable. The hotel has free parking and is gated so you know your car is safe. for a full video review see my youtube review, just type or copy: 'Hotel Posillipo Gabicce Monte, Italy - my review #hotelreview #videoreview'

Exceptional !!We had booked a package trip for the MotoGp in Misano. Hotel Posillipo was one of the choices of Hotel. We definitely came up trumps. Situated on top of a hill over looking the Adriatic sea, with breathe taking views and sunsets. The hotel itself sits in what I can only describe as a court yard, surrounded by, a couple of shops, one being a tiny grocery store, a delicious ice cream parlour, and cafes and restaurants. There is also a small play area for children. The tiny village is lovely to wonder around. Check in was easy, which we were relieved about as we were heading straight out to Tauvillia. Which was only a twenty minute journey. Our room was , bright, spacious, very clean, balcony over looking the sea and pool. Fridge, Kettle, bottled water,tea/coffee. hair dryer, toiletries.. A safe, Air conditioning, lots of storage. Everything was thought about for a wonderful stay. The bed was King sized, lovely and comfortable..... no duvet, we had a blanket. The hotel is quiet other than the restaurant getting breakfast ready in the morning, which was above our room. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. A large selection of tea, which was self serve. Coffee was bought to the table.Fruit juices. Ample choice of food, from cooked English, continental, breads ,jams, honey, fresh fruit, buffet style, It was lovely. We ventured into the pool after a extremely hot day. Sun lounges were fab, towels were available from the pool side bar, drinks were bought over to you. The Pool was very clean,it is emptied, refilled and checked. The downside is that it was freezing. The only downside for us was the set menu we had with our booking. No meat choice at all. We did have a choice of four courses which was fantastic. But we dont like sea food, and that was the only choice we had. A small tip. water is also chargeable, I think it was 7 Euros, We really did enjoy our stay at this hotel, and would definitely stay again, but on B&B basis. Thank you to the lovely staff at the hotel whom were all so friendly.
