    Pirin food

If you are booking the Hotel Pirin, book ROOM ONLY. The food is absolutely awful, the room is clean and tidy, with a well stocked mini bar fridge. There are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk and a shop across the road for crisps, nuts, snacks and wine as none of these are available at the hotel bar. In fact, apart from neat spirits, two bottled lagers and cherry cider. The only mixers available were red bull and club soda. The games room isn't even worth mentioning. The pool and steam room are nice, and we decided after our first visit to the restaurant that these were the only hotel facilities we would use. To be honest, we would not book this hotel again, it could be so much better if only for some pleasantries now and then, a well stocked bar, and most of all, a couple of decent chefs.

    Ok

The hotel is not well situated although shuttle did run on the hour for mornings and late afternoon. But could be full. So beware. Hotel room was clean but day 1 walked into bathroom and nearly trod on piece of glad 2 inches long. Room was clean but maids just walk in when they want. Food was awful. No point in details. Just awful. Bar shut at ten and no stock. Literally a few bottles. Not the happiest of staff. But seems to be Bulgarian way. I would stay again to be honest. As clean and quiet. But eat out as great places to eat

    Not 4*

Not a 4* hotel wouldn't even state it as 2*, me and my partner was placed in the room at 1am in the morning. We missed dinner so they gave us a box with what looked like dead cat in a Styrofoam box fair to say that didnt get eaten. The bed was really large however it had 2 single mattress toppers on that didnt even come close to being the same size as the bed, thankfully skiing knocked me out that much i could of slept on a rock and be happy. The heating is wacked up constantly to the point you just can not breath at night. The staff are insanely rude, especially the cleaners! I will definitely be coming back to bansko but i will not be coming back to this hotel.

    Average hotel

Firstly, the good points. 1. Good size rooms 2. Nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room. 3. Nice bar area with open fire. Now the bad points. 1. Staff. Miserable and unwilling to interact with guests. A smile would not go amiss! 2. Food - dont pay to eat breakfast or evening meal here as it is a waste of money. I am not particularly fussy about what I eat, but the buffet choice is limited, very poor quality and not very warm. Bulgarians like to eat food barely warm. If you are a vegetarian you are going to be hungry.

    Where do I start?

Stayed here for a week. Very out of the way, literally last hotel of the town. Slow check-in when we arrived. None of the room swipe cards worked for our party of travellers!! Room is literally the bare essentials. Bed was huge but mattress was completely knackered I had to shove a single duvet under my side of the mattress to keep it level so I didn't roll off the bed!! Got up in the mornings to go down for "breakfast" omg!! Cold, inedible crap, cold boiled eggs, scrambled eggs etc, stale bread, manky coffee and over diluted orange juice. The dinners were awful so we went out to restaurants most nights. Overpriced mini bar in the room with the fridge u couldn't plug in anyway. Ended up just buying from the shop across the road a lot of snacks and drinks. Had 1 alcoholic drink from the bar on the meeting night with rep. 15lev for a gin and tonic!!! Expensive!!. The slopes were OK if u like it extremely busy. Don't go in February!! And don't buy food etc up at the slopes. 20lev for 2 coffees and a twix! Rip off!!! Restaurant's were mainly good and reasonably priced but people that went to some who were in our hotel did get ripped off so beware of where u go. All in all I'd give the holiday 4/10!! Also u can store your skis and boots at the gondola but costs minimum of 10 lev per day. We took ours back and forth every day. Would never come back here,,,,, pamporovo so much better and quieter!!
