  Hotel magnífico. Situación perfecta, junto al puerto, una de las mejores ubicaciones posibles en la isla. Trato estupendo del personal. Desde la habitación, impecable, unas vistas maravillosas, de las mejores que se pueden encontrar en el Mediterráneo. Ya he estado dos veces y volveré.

  Wonderful Filicudi (from a Swiss point of view)

  The service at Hotel Phenicusa was good. We had a wonderful view from the balcony of our room. It was blue upon blue, you could not differentiate between the sky, the sea and the wall, so near it was the sea to the balcony. Being very close to the port makes things easy in terms of travelling. The hotel has also a beautiful tiny beach which looks like it was private as it is diffcult to reach for non-guests. At last, you can hear the sea when you are sitting on the terrasse of the hotel. It makes a magic sound when it encounters the rocks especially at night. The hotel is family-friendly and kids are more than welcome. What I liked best is the location of the hotel and its simplicity fitting well to the spirit of the island. What I liked least is the smell of the tap water, it is chlorinated as everywhere on the island as it is brought from the Mainland. I am going back to Hotel Phenicusa this summer, I have already booked!

  A slum, for 250/night. TO AVOID

  500/2 nights. Check the pictures to see what you will get. Be careful if you dont want to waste money in this place. This is the only one hôtel of Filicudi, no effort has been made for anything, the rooms, on the top of being old, are dirty. Bed sheet too. The bathroom in general but moreover the toilets are dirty, old, broken. Some cockroaches going around the hotel, one on the bed. There is a smell in the room of fried food, impossible to remove. DO VISIT THE ISLAND, but really dont GO TO PHENICUSA

  Hotel Phenicusa, July 18

  I staid at this hotel with my family in July 18. It is a family run business just next to the port. It has a nice balcony overlooking the sea, which we enjoyed particularly at the sunset. The family was welcoming and always happy to accommodate our requests. Valentino, the husband and cocktail expert, made us feel precious and well looked after. I would go back to this hotel.

  Run down and not friendly

  Although we knew that the little island of Filicuidi had only a few hotels and was not a luxury destination this dump which is right on the sea should be avoided at all costs. THERE IS NO SEA ACCESS not even a three step ladder from the hotel. A quarter of a mile walk to a rocky beach provided access but difficult and full of jellyfish (medusa) Many thanks to Enzo from LaCanna who came to rescue us and bring us to his oasis with a beautiful pool and lovely hotel. Did I mention the construction (which looked like it had been abandoned and the bad smell at Phenicusa. Call LaCanna if you want to go.
