An extremely reasonable, conveniently located place to stay just outside the city centerWe spent several days in the Hotel Pension Adria, and found it an entirely acceptable experience. It is located close to the university, a short walk (or one or two stops on the tram) from the closest metro station, which is also a big collection point for several buses and other trams. But it is also a reasonably comfortable walk from the heart of the city center. There are two cafes very close by where one can get breakfast. We can't say enough nice things about the proprietor, Mr Kanada, who was a fountain of information and suggestions about how to get around the city. Most of all, when our computer -- our only link to the internet since we did not have a smartphone -- suddenly would not connect, he not only indicated where a repair shop could be found, but offered to accompany us there. This story could have ended much differently, but thanks to him, we had a working computer by that evening.

Highly recommendedIn August 2018, we as a couple spent two nights in the Hotel Pension Adria, and found it exceptionally good. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was huge and comfortable. The area being in the heart of city (10 min walk from the city hall) is very quiet and just some steps away from the Vienna University, tram station and bus stops. The place has been renovated recently and the furniture, carpets etc. all were new and clean. Above all, the owner was very responsible, always accessible, friendly, kind and highly helpful. Whenever we asked him questions about places to eat/ to get around or about shopping, etc. he always used to give us very useful information/ suggestions. He did his best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had a late night flight on the last day, but after the check out, he allowed us to use the hotel facilities till late in the evening. He even made a pot of special cardamon black tea for us which was very tasty. Breakfast is not being served in this hotel however there are some coffee shops nearby. One can also buy the goods with very reasonable prices from Billa supermarket which is just 4 min walk from the hotel. Surely we will return to this place again. visit, or to to We asked about some good Turkish restaurant and he suggested the Kent things is an entirely acceptable experience. Bien ubicado, pesimamente mantenido.

A warm welcomeWe arrived at the hotel/pension to find that some how we were booked in at 11.30 pm instead of am. How ever our host sorted things in a few minutes. THE accommodation is basic with the lovely cosiest beds, and a sofa. Very clean, room cleaned every day. Lots of hot water but need to run the cold for a few minutes. This apartment is only 5 mins walk in to town, there are buses and trams nearby. Own electrical items are not allowed. because of the age of the building and it's electrical supply. No courtesy tray is given but there is a really good cafe opposite. I was not able any where to get English Breakfast tea any where but I asked for hot water as I had T bags with me.
