  Couldn't ask for more!

  We stayed at Hotel Pax with 44 14-15 years olds from Treviglas Academy in the UK and they were simply superb. So friendly and so accommodating. Excellent food and lunches. Cool, comfortable rooms even during the heatwave. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Thank you!

  School trip

  The hotel far exceeded my expectations having stayed at many hotels on such trips before, this is by far the best! It had large, comfortable rooms with all amenities covered (even little touches like shower caps and cosmetic packs in the bathroom)! The staff could not do enough for us and were polite and helpful to students and staff alike (which is not always the case). I cant wait to come back again, we are even thinking of changing our itinerary next time so we can stay longer!

  Trefoil group

  A group of 42 of us stayed at Hotel Pax for our Trefoil (adults in Girlguiding) trip to Belgium. The hotel was ideally situated for our visits to Ypres-Ieper and Bruges and catered very well for our group needs. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. We were grateful for the information on the hotel website that advised us of hairdryers (so we didnt need to bring them) and as we expected in Belgium, no kettles in the rooms (the British do like their tea and coffee making facilities in rooms!) so we took our own travel kettles. The continental breakfast was plentiful and varied, gluten and dairy free diets were catered for. In a country where you have to pay for water in restaurants it was nice to have bottled water provided in the rooms. The small bag of chocolates on our beds on our final night was a lovely touch from a very friendly caring hotel.

  Hotel and Town Great

  Hotel Pax was a modern, exceptionally clean and efficient hotel. We were a group of 38 visiting the local WW1 Battlefields. Our arrival was well organised and very quick, my wife and I found the room spacious, functional and exceptionally clean, the complimentary toiletries were of a high standard and everything the traveller needed. We took a kettle with us to make tea but we found out from the hotel staff that we could have hired what we needed for 5, good information for the next time we stay. After everything I've said it was a surprise to learn that the hotel is closed for 3 months for a refurbishment! It will be even better next time! We all congregated in the bar but we're disappointed after a couple of hours to find it closed at 2200 hrs, this is my only real complaint. Breakfast was continental and had everything you would expect and to a high quality, everything was replenished very quickly, keeping everyone happy, there could have been a second coffee jug for peak flow but our wait was short. We ate in the picturesque town square, we stayed two nights and we never saw many people even on a Friday night. The town and the hotel are ideal for large groups, families or even couples. For some Hotel Pax maybe a little further from Ypres than the want to be but I thought it was worth it! We had a great experience and would use the hotel again in the future.

  Superb breakfast and excellent bathroom

  My girlfriend and I stayed here for the night and were very impressed by the excellent breakfast and very relaxing shower. The place is both close to the IJzer river and the city centre and the staff is friendly and responsible (COVID-19). Recommended!
