DescentThis hotel is not the best place we stayed in. The rooms are renovated, but very very warm, there's no airconditioning, and the walls are very thin, the shower booth is to small, I'm a pretty tal guy, and there's no way I can move freely in the showerbooth. The owner is not very hospitable, the one minute he jokes around, and the next minute he doesn't say but 2 words, the waitress that served us is very nice, the owners wife who also helps out serving food and drinks is not very nice. I have to say that they have a good cook, the food is very good. The breakfast is soso, there's choice but not a whole lot, if you go for breakfast 30 minutes after the buffet opened, you have to make do with white bread, whole wheat and french bread, no bunns left. I don't think I would stay here again.

Good+ We stayed in the hotel only for 1 night. Overall our stay was ok. Rooms are clean. Beds quite uncomfortable. Wifi very good. We would visit again. - Maybe it was beacuse we were a big group people eating at the same time but we were not happy with our breakfast. Very poor choice of food.

Wont stay again. The economy single room did not have windows to outside. However the weather was very hot and there were no air conditioning in the room. It was like a sauna. Very uncomfortable. The breakfast was below average.

Blood on the duvet, hostel like room.Due to a work project, it was required of me to travel fairly last minute to Made. I arrived at the hotel and initially was very impressed with their handling of the Covid-19 situation with hand gel across the site and one way systems introduced. Sadly, this is where the positives end. The room feels more like a hostel rather than hotel needing a definite refresh in decor. Loose ceiling panels leave you feeling a little worried that someone could be spying on you, it's best to quickly stick your head up and check just to be certain. A single bed is tucked in to the corner with a single window lighting the room. Looking out this window you are presented with the hotels air conditioning units humming away; it's best to close the window if they are on. A desk and wicker chair are available for you to work at with two power sockets ready for your standard EU plug. Upon plugging one of my devices in, a tremendous spark popped out. Nothing untoward seemed to happen to the equipment but I was wary about leaving things plugged in whilst out. The bathroom is aged and definitely in need of a spruce up. The shower dishes out a mix of hot and cold in waves, not enough to make you scream but enough to make you think twice about a long soak. The sink was filthy on arrival and even after the cleaners came the next day; I assume they don't do deep cleans. Finally we come to the bed. It's a medium to firm mattress which for me isn't bad but that's all I can say positively. I arrived in the middle of summer yet a heavy tog duvet was on the bed, I ended up stripping the duvet cover off to use instead (the cleaners did leave this for me). The duvet itself is covered in blood spots from top to bottom, utterly disgusting and surely not allowed. Colour of said spots range from light to dark suggesting this has been laundered multiple times and added to. Pillows are square and are unusable with the padding material forming clumps and making them lumpy. Breakfast was adequate but there is very little to choose from.

Bad Reception StaffUpon arrival, we were greeted by a man at reception that definitely had an attitude. He was abrupt and rude to us. Perhaps he did not like Americans. We asked a few questions about local restaurants, and all he could say was that they had their own restaurant. We had one meal in their restaurant and it was good, but definitely overpriced. In the morning of our second day, we went to the market and bought croissants and brought them back to the hotel outdoor dining area. We sat at the outside tables, my partner smokes, and there was absolutely no one else around. We began eating our croissants and almost immediately this nasty man came out and scolded us for using the hotel tables to eat food not purchased there. I was upset and went into the lobby to speak with him. I told him that we were spending three nights in his hotel, had eaten at his restaurant, and should be allowed to eat a croissant at his outside table while my partner smoked a cigarette. He argued with me about it, was very rude. I then mentioned to him that the wifi was very poor, and that it was impossible to stay connected. He abruptly told me that we weren't paying for the wifi, we were paying for the room. Well that was ridiculous, and I told him that paying for the room we should expect everything to work properly including hot water and wifi. Well he didn't agree and rudely told me so. I just walked away from him, such a bad representation of the hotel. The room was average, nothing special. And definitely overpriced. Will never stay again and would not recommend.
