  The best part was the hot springs

  Good basic hotel, room was a normal hotel room (we had a twin European styled room but the japanese rooms with the futons looked much better). What was excellent was the roof top hot spring baths overlooking the foot of Gifu park and Gifu castle. Amazing soak in the sunset. Although we didn't speak any Japanese and it looked as if we were the only foreigners staying there, the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable - couldn't thank them enough!

  Viewing the remains of the Castle from the Onsen at night. Mesmerising!

  Our third time at this delightful Hotel. The view at night of the Castle fortress, all lit up is spectacular. It's this that drags us back each time. Staff are very helpful, especially the Manager Mr Shigeru Sakuragi who went out of his way to assist us on our last visit. Onsen both indoor and rotenburo-outdoor are quality amenities. Right on the Nagara River during the cormorant fishing at night is quite a sight. 19 - 12 minutes by bus from the station makes it easily accessible. The Park behind the Hotel, the Ropeway- cable car, the old buildings in the streets leading from the Hotel create a delightful ambience. Kaiseki dining, a comfortable futon on the tatami, lovely views,and 24 hour use of the onsen make for a delightful stay. We can't wait to get back. Kevin & Katsuko Sydney Australia.

  Value for money; good location

  This is about 10 minutes walk from Gifu Castle park and the ropeway, and also the old/new riverside village. Got lost driving here, and had to squeeze through some road which I thought were pedestrian paths. Hotel Park is a "mass market" type onsen. It is good value; dinner and breakfast included for less than 10000 yen a person. The rooftop onsen is nice, with an outdoor bath that has a view of Gifu Castle, but can get a little crowded.

  Good Hotel

  Good Hotel, worth the money. there is onsen for those who liked. onsen is very large. good for relaxing after long day trip.clean and comfortable room.definitely will come back in the future.the staff is very friendly and helpfull as well.

  An original hot spring hotel with charm

  The hotel is located in a great location and while the amenities are limited but it is know for it hot springs. While we spoke no Japanese, the staff were truly exceptional and made is welcome and went the extra mile to make sure that we felt taken care of. The star manager for us was Sakuragi-san. He really made an attempt to keep us informed and was always asking us if we needed help -- which occasionally we did. 5* service. :)
