  Stately Old Hotel/Home with Bad Hot Water System

  Our room was on the third floor with a great view of the canal. The room was cavernous with 12 foot high ceilings. The furnishing were in OK shape, but dated. The bathroom was updated. The beds were comfortable. Now the bad news: No elevator to upper floors. Had to drag luggage up to third floor. Breakfast was not included in room rate and below average for a hotel room in St Petersburg costing 5500 rubles ($100 US) per night. Our room was on city hot water and we had brown colored hot water coming out of the faucets from the second day until we left 3 days later. Manager said it was city water causing the problem. Spoke to a few businesses in the area and they said brown colored hot water is common in the old section of St Petersburg. Found out some rooms in the hotel have city hot water(brown) and some have dedicated hot water boiler(clean). Had to sponge bath with baby wipes or go to the building next door for a shower. Not pleasant at all. Do not rent a room in this hotel unless it has its own hot water system!!!! Get it in writing before booking.

  Here for the World cup

  Close to public transportation, the customer service is great ! Walking distance to a lot of restaurants. First time in Saint Petersburg and Im sure if I visit again ill be staying at the same hotel.

  Calm and cozy hotel

  Nice and clean hotel on a silent courtyard. Staff didn't speak much English, but was nice and helpfull. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The neighbourhood was nice, but a bit far from the metro. Walk to the nearest metro station was about 25 minutes.

  Needs renovation

  Stayed in the suite. Really cool with 6 meters to the roof and huge windows. The room does definitely need a renovation soon. The interior is old and worn out. Staff is weird and upon check in he gave us the wrong room. Doesn't speak any english so we used google translate. Nah, the next time I visit st Petersburg I won't stay here.

  Low value for a money

  Dear Hotel Team, During our four days staying, the staff made very positive impression. Location of the hotel is also very convinient. Howewer, there are a plenty room for improvement as well. We were in apartment 35. The large, four rooms apartment, with two bathrooms, even sauna. But not very clean and with smell of dust and dirtyness . It looks like it has not been cleaned for a months. This applays for all rooms and kitchen within apartment, but for coridors and stairs as well. Marks of wather leaking on the ceiling and walls could be seen. As a first aid, a fairly detailed cleaning would help, at least for apartment 35. But, investing in renovation would be even better option. Apart of that, pretty old and uncomfortable beds and worse furniture made our stay even less pleasant. In summary, we would not come, if we knew about all mentioned above. I hope you will not consider this feedback as a criticism, but as a well-intentioned suggestion for improvement
