    Quaint Charming Palace Hotel

What a wonderful experience we had recently staying three nights at this adorable hotel. We booked rooms 3 & 4 and enjoyed looking up at the fresco ceilings every night. The staff were wonderful and the breakfasts filling. You can ask for fresh orange juice, capaccino's and eggs any way you like them. They booked lessons for pesto making and provided towels for the beach. Levanto to is the best place to stay and taking the ferry into Cinque Terre was easy. The restaurants were fabulous that the hotel recommended. A big thanks to the owner for letting us play with her dog Bonnie. Enjoy this beautiful hotel and the great location. Ciao!

    Lovely stay!

I stayed for two nights with friends and we all really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly, beds were comfortable, decor of the place was beautiful!, breakfast was good and it was fairly clean. Only small complaint is that there isn't enough light in the bathroom, and it's barely there in the shower. Good location too, 5 minutes from the train station I would stay again

The only hotel with one room left

We had the last room available in Levanto, apparently! Well, we spent one Night there in rather quaint surroundings with fascinating frescos to look at before falling asleep! Breakfast was very good, and staff was kind, but it will be long before we go there again! The price for the stay was not modest!

    Beautiful hotel

The hotel is full of amazing Italian charm. The staff is great and rooms clean and comfortable. The artwork alone is worth the stay. While the rooms are small, they provide the wonderful place to rest at night.

    Find Another Place to Stay

When our room at another hotel was given away before we arrived, we had to find another place to stay. This is where the first hotel sent us. It was terrible! One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at anywhere. This "hotel" is also an apartment so you have people who live on the upper floors running up and down the stairs which can be noisy. When you see pictures of the hotel rooms, you want to love this hotel because of the high and painted ceilings. However, the rooms are run down. The old furniture looks like it was bought at a flee market and just thrown into rooms. There was too much furniture and it didn't match. The room was just dingy. We had to climb three marble stairs and then down one on the other side of the doorway to get into the bathroom. Very dangerous at night. The corner shower was incredibly small even by European standards and it took forever to get hot water. There was a hole in the wall to the outside covered by a very noisy fan which was likely their solution to ventilation in the windowless bathroom but the cold air came in as well as the noise from outside. I did unplug the fan. We were there in October and it had turned cold. There was no heat. The woman at the front desk found us a room heater which worked well but she could not turn on the heat as it required a technician. The two women at the front desk were very nice and helpful. That was the only redeeming quality of this hotel. Being off-season, there was a buffet breakfast but nothing hot. The buffet was mostly packaged cookies and crackers, packaged yogurt, a little fresh bread that you could toast and some ham and cheese. Whatever ham and cheese was left on one day was put out the next. One day there was pink and grey ham slices due to old being placed on the serving plate with the new. There isn't any parking at this hotel but if available you can park in the yard at someone's house for an additional cost. We were also quite surprised that if we paid cash, we were provided with a huge discount in price, which we took advantage of since we didn't want to pay this awful hotel any more money than necessary. The owner of this hotel needs to invest a little money into it to make it a more desirable destination. There are many other lovely hotels in Levanto to choose.
