  Unreliable booking

  The hotel itself is lovely: well located, clean and good value. However, we had booked a room for four people via email and, upon arrival, were informed they only had room for two. We were offered the double and a very small appartment in the town for the first night of our stay and moved into a room for four the next day. This was fine except that, upon checking out, we were charged an extra fifty euros for the first night. The manager had openly admitted this was his mistake, not ours, so this seemed a bit much. In short, phone ahead and double check you booking before arrival. We were four adults so this was only an expensive inconvenience: for a family the solution we were offered would have been impossible.

  Well-located, nice hotel but with issues regarding the reservation system.

  We stayed at this hotel during August 2011. This hotel is situated opposite the local train station and within walking distance of the town of Embrun, where there are various shops, supermarkets etc. The hotel has on street parking. Our room was clean, tidy, had a TV and free Wi-Fi, and suited our needs as a base for a few days. A satisfactory breakfast was provided as an optional extra. As the previous contributor noted, room booking for this hotel is unreliable. We also suffered inconvenience and extra expense due to the ineptitude of the owner. Overall, this is a well-located, nice hotel but with issues regarding the reservation system.

  Fly by visit

  The owners were lovely and I'm afraid that's really the only positive. The whole hotel needs renovation. None of the doors closed properly the loo water continually drained from, the laminate floor was curling, the shower head was not attached to the wall, the shower door was broken so had a curtain installed aswell. The window curtain was pointless as it blocked no light. The view was brilliant though!
