  4 star hotel

  Stayed here in September 2012 for 4 nights. Newly renovated and room we stayed in had modern fixtures. Bed sheets were 1000 thread.... felt like silk... so comfortable. Only thing in China .... the mattress is hard as rock. To my surprise, the firmness of the bed solved my aching back issues...LOL:) Buffet style in their restaurant was amazing. So many delicious international cuisine choices. Location of hotel is walking distance to a Walmart(yes.. they have one in Xian), the Bell tower, the Drum Tower, Muslim Quarter(Street Market where you can find delicious Xian street food) and a Starbucks. We used SNA tours who booked this hotel as part of a tour package, so don't know how much the hotel charges for overnight stay. Wifi was only accessible in the hotel lobby. Traveling through China...their commode is 5 star(clean, western style, seat cover, and toilet paper). Hotel can convert your $$ to yuan without service charge.

  Good clean hotel

  I have generally preferred staying at the Holiday Inn Greenland in Xi'an as it is close to my partner's business offices. This time the HI was booked up so they placed me in this hotel... as the name implies it is a rather new hotel, built in the heart of the business district. The hotel check in is on the 4th floor where the dining facilities are--breakfast is decent but beware of terrible mislabling of items--you never know what's inside, so do a double check--being a vegetarian, it was extremely difficult to find good things to eat but managed with western breakfast items. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable--as in most Chinese hotels, air conditioning is turned off during fall, winter and sprig (for they fear catching cold if you expose yourself to cold things), so despite what the thermostat says it is NOT cooling you down--just the fan and open windows if you are warm. Room could use a little carpet shampooing, and most definitely the carpets in the hallways are beat up despite the age of the hotel. outside room noises are significant, but generally a quiet room. Internet is good, wifi, reliable, and fast. TV channels do have some western stuff, CNN, channel news, etc. Would stay here again as an alternative to Holiday Inn, maybe a little cheaper.

  Loved this place!

  This was a really nice hotel to stay in. The rooms were huge. My only complaint would be that the AC really wasn't working well during the July heat but the hospitality made up for it. The staff is really nice. It was hard finding someone who spoke English but my tour guide helped me out so this wasn't an issue for me. Getting laundry done is relatively inexpensive and my clothes came back in great shape. Breakfast was good too.

  Xian hotel

  The hotel is very good compared with its price. Service is good. Location is the best. Close to everything. There are tour program to east route or west route. The Tang folks show across street is so super.
