  "Never Again"

  Poor service, lack of facts. Attempted to charge for the room when full payment had already been charged on booking. Called the room at 8.00 to ask if I was coming down for breakfast!! Breakfast was from 7.00 until 10.00!! After retiring for the night, get a call to ask me to come and pay my bar / restaurant bill as no one would be around in the morning!!

  Great location, value

  Stopped here on the way from Amsterdam to Bruges. Score is based on location and cost. The hotel is across the street and one block down from the train station. Our room was on the third floor and cost about $65. It was clean with a lot of storage, and a nice bathroom. Full size and town bed. It was a warm night so we had the windows open and it was a touch noisy outside with some bars nearby but not bad. Free wifi, easy check in and check out. Just what I was looking for, and we head an excellent meal at an Italian restaurant a few blocks away. Worked out well for for us as the hotels in Bruges are expensive.

  Never Again

  I visited this hotel while I was on business in the local area. On arrival the receptionist/manager was not very friendly. The lift to the room was ancient and very small. The room was very dated and in need of renovating. The radiator when on was very noisy due to one of the valves sticking that really requires replacing. I informed the reception of this and they said they had sorted when I went out and it was not. The fridge was noisy too. At weekends the bar next door had live music on until late so not very good if you require an early night. The bathroom is very dated but everything worked. The bed was a good size and quite comfortable with clean sheets and bedding. The location is excellent with the train station and car park over the road.

  Basic but good located hotel

  Hotel New Flanders is located right next to the train station in Sint Niklaas. Which is very handy if you plan to travel in Belgium. You can easily get practically everywhere (Sint Niklaas is located almost between Antwerp en Gent). Hotel is very close to the shopping street en the main square which is also the largest market square of Belgium. The room that I got was very different to the picture that I saw on the website. It is much smaller and not very cosy. It is really a place where you only come to sleep. It was clean but not cosy. Although there was a reminder that it is not allowed to smoke in the room, the whole room was smoked through.The corridors in the hotel are very dark. You also hear trains passing by. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and the breakfast area is nice.

  What a horror

  Overprised bad hotel! Bed had bumps and lumps in them. Very warm room. Would not recommend! We used it as an overnight to get a good sleep before continuing our trip within Belguim. Didnt get sleep and paid 85 for it.
