  Fine but expensive stay

  Have been staying here for quiet some times as I travel here a lot for business. Stay at Madira twice before and then switched to Hotel Myitkyina due to office arrangement. In general Hotels in Myitkyina are found quiet expensive with the standards they provide, services level as well as qualities of amenities and facilities. But in here you don't have much choices. Breakfast is served buffet but eggs are cold (pre fried in tray and not heated) coffee is using Thai Nestle instant which taste awful. The rest are pretty much Chinese style fried noodle, rice or vermicelli. Two curries are provided everyday in rotation of chicken, pork and fish. One good thing is the staff are quiet nice and friendly and attentive which can cover the not so good facilities to some extend. But all in all if I have a choice I will not stay here again.

  Clean and Trendy

  I stayed here six nights and found the rooms very clean and comfortable. The bed was definitely more comfortable than most in Asia. The staff were friendly but did not speak much English. The breakfasts were lacking but the place is a good value.

  Visit

  Good hotel but compare to price it's high, breakfast also average compare to price. Overall Above average hotel as there is limited hotel in myitkyina. Staff good and cooperative, cleanliness OK, reception good.

  Nice clean room

  It was nice to stay at the Hotel. The staff friendly and the breakfast the same as at other hotels in Myanmar. Walking distance to shopping area. The room was clean and the bed too. The elevator looked new with a different carpet every day

  Nice Rooms

  I stayed at Hotel Myitkyina for a few days in October. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious and as was the hotel overall. The breakfast buffet was alright but there were limited options. The only reason I haven't given the hotel 5 stars is that when I asked them to book me a taxi they tried to charge me 3,000 kyat on a 5,000 kyat fare because the hotel had called the taxi for me. As a hotel, they should be able to call a cab for their guests without charging a 60% commission.
