  Vistas impresionantes

  El hotel aunque ya tiene sus años esta muy limpio y bien conservado, tiene 2 tipos de habitaciones unas estilo europeo y otras estilo japonés que tienen una especie de tatami. Siendo turista vale la pena las de estilo japonés puesto que también tienen cama. La comida es buena, el desayuno variado. El personal como en todo el país es excelente. Al estar en lo alto de una loma tiene unas vistas impresionantes aunque al mismo tiempo es un inconveniente puesto que para dar un paseo tienes que bajar toda una cuesta y obviamente luego volver a subirla. Por cierto el spa esta muy bien, tiene una piscina exterior de agua caliente con vistas a Mt Fuji

  Excelente hotel y ubicacion, solo aclara al comprar el boleto en yokohama que vienes hasta gotemba y tienes que tomar un camion, contempla este asunto y vente mas temprano para disfrutar este bello lugar, quedate dos dias

  Hotel helped to retrieve my lost bag with PASSPORTs

  (repost from Hotels.com) My family (with 2 kiddos) boarded the community bus on a sunday evening Dec 8 from Kawaguchiko bus terminal towards Gotemba station. Intending to drop at Bus stop 138 for Hotel shuttle bus pick-up. Unfortunately, I went pass the stop and unable to communicate with the non-english speaking driver, I press the bell and get off the next stop. With 4 luggages to bring down the bus and 2 young girls, I made the most regretful mistake of leaving my 30l packpack (with money and 4 PASSPORTS) on the bus. It was cold and dark at a bus stop which I dont know where and I walked to a nearby Denny's restaurant and called the Hotel. To my comfort, the hotel staff told me to wait where I am at the Denny's restaurant and will detour the shuttle bus to just pick my family up. At the hotel check-in, I explained my mishap to the hotel manager Mr Seiji Watanabe, and though the bus office hotline was closed after 6pm on sunday, he tries other means to contact the bus company and leaving his cell-phone number with the bus company to help me search for my backpack. The night went passed without any news and I was really depressed with Passports lost. The next morning at 8am when I was going for the buffet breakfast, I met Mr Seiji Watanabe at the lobby and he told me that my bag has been found at Gotemba Station and he has already sent a driver to help collect my backpack. By 9 am, I have gotten back my bag and most importantly, the passports. Thank you so much Mr Watanabe.

  Disappointing place that has potential

  Thats true the hotel is far from the center but that didnt bother us much as we came with a car and it snowed so much that we were stuck in the hotel anyway. The view is great and there are a lot of windows to enjoy the scenery. For us it was snowing so much that it was more watching the snow than the Fuji but was still a nice view. The hotel is huge but with no life. There is no atmosphere whatsoever (quite common in japan anyway). The very bad point is that they gave us a shocking room and even if we asked to change they said its not possible (the hotel has hundreds of room and we were off season). The smell in the room was unbearable that we opened the window (with -3 degree and snow outside ) and still our eyes were crying and we couldnt breath properly. We didnt sleep and were afraid of getting our clothes infected with the smell. As there is nothing to do in the hotel per se we quite bored. The breakfast has nothing fancy for the price but at least there are occidental optiosn. On the check out day because it snowed more than 70cm obernifht they gave us boots and tools to dig and get rid of the snow below the car. However no one asked if were were fine driving in the snow of if we were happy with the stay. The reception behavior is cold as snow

  Magnificent view of Mt. Fuji

  From the guest room, we can see the magnificent view of snow covered Mt. Fuji, as well as from two open-air hot spring baths. Buffet breakfast is of good quality and wide selection, served in the restaurant again with the wonderful view of Mt. Fuji.
