Great family hotel in a good locationWe had room no. 504 which was the 3 bedroom penthouse at the top of the hotel. It was very spacious with a large lounge/fire place, small kitchenette and 2 bathrooms (one en-suite). It had a large balcony with sun loungers, chairs, table etc. The view is very beautiful and peaceful. The penthouse could comfortably sleep 6 people (we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children) so had plenty of room. The housekeeper was amazing, she came in every day and cleaned and prepared the fire, emptied the bins, made the beds, provided clean towels and replaced the complimentary toiletries etc. You don't normally get that service in an apartment. It was immaculate when we returned each evening. Two of the bedrooms were facing the road which leads to Verbier and I could hear some traffic noise at night which I found a bit annoying, I am a very light sleeper though. It didn't bother my husband or son in the slightest. The room my daughter was in was completely quiet as it was in the middle of the apartment. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel had a good atmosphere. I wouldn't like to comment on the normal hotel rooms but while walking through the corridors leading to the bedrooms, it did seem a bit tired. The entrance/bar and breakfast room are all stunning and makes a good first impression. There is a small swimming pool with a swimming jet and a steam and sauna which we used a couple of times and was a nice, clean facility. Towels in the spa area are provided and there are good showers. The downside is you have to walk through the hotel underground garage area to get to it. It isn't particularly cold but it doesn't feel very luxurious walking through a garage and lets the hotel down. The buffet breakfast was very nice indeed and the staff were constantly attending to the display of food making sure it looked good and nothing was spilt on the table and replacing foods that had run out. The service was exceptional. There is a bus stop one minute from the hotel which comes every 15 mins in ski season and takes you straight into Verbier which is a 5 min drive and drops you outside the Medran lift, which is the main lift. Thank you for a great stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect stay, worth way more than 5 starsI stayed in this hotel for a single night, two rooms, I sent an email the day before my arrival to notify the staff I would need a parking spot. The staff told me their parking lot was full but that they will help me locate the nearest public parking. I as well so on their website the restaurant was taking orders until 20:45 (coronavirus pandemic). When I checked in after a long drive, the front desk agent told me they managed to get me a parking spot in the hotels lot, awesome. My checkin time was approximately 9pm, so normally too late for a dinner at the restaurant, but both front desk agent and maître dhôtel managed to accommodate us a beautiful table and an absolutely fantastic dinner. Regarding the room, its way larger than what you expect in a ski resort, and very clean too. Absolutely no false note. Working myself as a guest relation manager in a Swiss palace, I can guarantee the staff of Hotel Montpelier delivers a way better service than most of the five star hotels. Guest is their priority and they perfectly know how to go above and beyond to create the best experience for them, yes, even for a new guest, one nighter. Keep up the good work, we will be back for our next stay in Verbier.

Fabulous hotel, great viewsOur apartment was super big, with magnificent views. The food is excellent (not the usual cheese-based mountain fare). The Pool is small but warm, the people are super nice, and having the ski shop in the hotel is super convenient. As most places in Verbier, it's not ski-in ski-out, and the town tries hard to bully you in not taking your car
