  Good Location

  We found these accommodations to be a good central location for visiting Angra. We could walk everywhere easily from the Monte Brasil. The taxi stand is also right outside the door which is very convenient for going in to have dinner at Beira Mar in Sao Mateus (which is a MUST). The staff was friendly and provided candles when power went out on the entire city block one night. The room was clean, the room we had faced the main square so there was a lot of traffic. Overall it fit the need and the main attraction was the convenient location.

  Excellent location and Good Hotel For the price !!

  OK, I cant say that The Residencial Monte Brazil is The Best Hotel that I have ever stayed in, But when you take into consideration the 45 Euro room price (For two people) and the location, as well as a reasonably substantial breakfast (Included in the price) then It has to be worth the Very Good rating I have given it.

  A little noisy but well placed, friendly, and excellent value

  As we had a room overlooking the street the room was a little noisy, mainly due to the cobbled street below. I would imagine that if you forego the balcony, or the view (and it was a good view), then other rooms will be quieter, I guess it depends on your priorities ! Apart from that everything was fine, the room was an okay size, a little tired but the communal areas were decent enough, but for the price (which did include breakfast !) it was excellent value. The position was also excellent, right opposite a decent restaurant and a couple of minutes to the town centre. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was decent, so no real complaints (and if we wanted a quieter room we could have had one !)

  Good location, clean but a couple negatives

  This residence has a great location, nice balcony with room to step out for air. Twin beds were comfortable. Rooms clean. The lobby and dining room were large and clean. Breakfast was basic continental. There is an elevator for accessibility. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Couple of negatives, the wifi did not work in the room, people collected in the lobby. They told us it was temporary but I have read that in other reviews at other times. There was no hair dryer. Be warned that there is no air conditioning. They supplied a small table top fan, and circulation was ok in September, but hard to imagine what it would be like in the hotter summer. With the balcony doors open the traffic was loud. All that said you get what you pay for. For location and a good clean basic room in a nice building this is a good choice.

  Good Location

  We spent a pleasant 2 nights here. Our room on the 3rd floor had a nice view towards Monte Brasil and the sunsets. Our room was small and basic but comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast included.
