Great stay at hotel MohrenWe spent 3 nights at hotel Mohren 2 weeks ago. (2 adults + a 3y old child) We really did enjoy our stay. Nice, spacious room (S Deluxe), a good variation on choices for breakfast and dinner, friendly staff,... I made a call on Thursday evening (5 pm) for an arrival on Friday noon and although it was very last minute, everything was perfectly arranged. The hotel was a bit hard to find, cause located in the heart of Oberstdorf in an pedestrian zone and in front of the Oberstdorf church. We will surely revisit the hotel for another short stay and are not affraid to reccomend it to friends and family.

Spectacular. Great location, super service, easy vacation spot.Michel made our welcome warm and inviting even though we walked in last minute without a reservation. The town is charming and easy to walk around and enjoy the restaurants, shops and sites. Outstanding quality hotel - bedding, facilities, views, breakfast buffet and ability to pack a nice lunch for a hike. We enjoyed everything about this hotel and will stay again. Don't worry about it being in the center of town re: noise potential. The church bells stop ringing by 11pm and the place closes up tight until sunrise.

Absolutely stunning hotel with great staff!!Stayed three nights while on a solo snowboarding trip to Oberstdorf. The room was stunning and the staff were fantastic; going out of their way to make my stay a memorable experience many times. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking the perfect alpine getaway.

2 Nights in a Family RoomThe hotel overall was ok, but for the prize (270 Euros per night for a family room) what we family of three got was somewhat underwhelming. Service was acceptable, if not great, and the food average. But the rooms had slanted walls (my wife hit her head walking in), the burgundy carpet had a seen better days for sure and there wasn't a view to speak of (a small balcony faced an alley way, and another narrow window was above the bed). Overall, I would not recommend anyone staying in this room. I am sure there are others (with wooden floors, as seen in the photos), but this one was a real letdown.

A re-union with friends for a 3 day visit to Oberstdorf, Bavaria, Germany. This hotel is situated in a promently good position in the town. The rooms are clean and are of adequet size. The first problem is that there is no hotel parking or anywhere near in the town. A carpark pass is given for one of the 2 carparks some 20 minutes walk from the hotel, a local bus service free of charge with the hotel pass is available but if you walk down to the main bus teminus and there is no bus, then is is advisable to walk the rest of the way. Service personell didnt seem very friendly except for a girl from Greece who we found very helpfull. Maybe its the extra stress with Corona, but this should not be accepted. The bar in a 4 star hotel is usually stocked well with supplies, but after asking for Cointreau to go in my coffee it was not available. The breakfast buffet, hosted something I have never seen in a hotel. There was a small buffet whether this is due to the Corona I do not know. We had to line up in the restaurant awaiting our turn, the person serving was really incapable of doing the job. firstly in the morning you expect to be greeted with 'good morning' in any languague and as I got near the buffet I was watching him with silcon gloves, hand picking meats whatever the guest wanted, then picking up cheese the picking up salad pieces, tomatoes, paprika etc then placing your bread on a plate. All using the same gloved hand for everything. I think this is most unhygenic to say the least thinking of vegitarians as an example contaminting the Vegitablees with meat. I have had a bistro in Austria for over ten years and know this is not acceptable in Austria. A seperate serving tool should be with every dish to avoid contamination. When I saw this I had one Bread roll went to my place and ordered a fried egg with the waitress which came from the kitchen. The second day I ordered scrambled eggs with a bread roll from the waitress but I had to go to the buffet and wait to get my roll. When I got to my table the egg was cold so I ordered 2 fried eggs to go with my roll. Should this be allowed in a hotel?
