  Best description. Needle in a Haystack!

  We happened on this gem with a Google search while travelling south from Oregon. The Mission de Oro grounds are fresh, new and most of all clean. The service team is wonderful from the start through the end of our stay; very welcoming. They have taken precautions with signage, hand sanitizer and distancing measures. The rooms are spotless, well appointed (not often you have Stickley Furniture in rooms) and perfect for travelling, family, and business. The team restaurant is perfectly surrounded by landscape, fountains and Koi ponds to add to the atmosphere the food is well priced for the location, portions are large (couple share), and also have a great beer, wine and cocktail menu. Family friendly as well with a nice kids menu selection!

  Best of I-5

  Good hotel are usually only found in destination areas and not along the unglamorous arid stretches of the I-5 corridor. Mission De Oro is special this way and the exception. This hotel was clearly someones labor of love and a fine hotel with great food and service. The unique and classic Spanish colonial architecture is wonderful and its pleasant to walk the property. You wont find many like it along I-5, and I highly recommend it if you need to stay somewhere traveling to and from LA or San Diego.

  Party hotel? Poor staff response

  The hotel itself is unique, beautiful and clean. The low rating is not because of accommodations, it is because of staff response to significant problems. We stayed, as a family of four with two children on 8.21.2020. We drove 10 hours and were tired and happy to have a prearranged place to stay. Around 11:30 pm loud music and voices came from the adjoining room next door. Around midnight we called hotel staff to report the noise. We then called again as nothing changed, about 45 minutes later and our last call at 330 am is when we were taken seriously as things escalated next door with people intensely screaming at one another. The Sheriff and two officers came out to our neighbor's room. Our boys were terrified and felt unsafe. The hotel staff said they would comp us our next stay and profusely apologized saying this is not the reputation of their hotel. We left the next day as planned and decided that we would stay there again when we drove back through. They gave us our room without complaint for the night of the 28th, exactly one week later. We had 10 more hours to go and wanted a good night's rest. At 11:30 loud music started playing, voices started getting loud and this went on until 145. We did not call this time. Bottom line. Sure seems like a party hotel. I would not say this if it were once, but twice in 7 days? My guess is the Sheriff is tired of going out there and the staff is tired of responding so the guest just suffer until the party goers drink enough to pass out. We won't stay here again.

  Great I-5 option

  This hotel is much nicer than other options for an overnight stay on the interstate. Spacious and clean rooms, nice decor, friendly staff, spacious and manicured grounds, dogs welcome. However, it would be nice if they added area rugs to warm up the rooms a bit (the tile floors are rather uncomfortable).

  Excellent stopover

  Headed from North valley to Las Vegas, this was a lovely stop. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Our room was very comfortable and the cleanliness level was top notch. Staff were efficient and COVID covered on premises.
