  nice hotel which could do better - good value for money

  Surrounded by beautiful pine forest, this newly renovated building (part of the hotel complex with Lavanda restaurant) offered us spacious AC room with huge terrace (we were in the ground floor) with table, chairs and deck chairs. Unfortunatelly and totally unnecessary, it offered a completely broken old beach umbrella (why did not they remove it is beyond my comprehension). Bathroom also nicely re-decorated, clean, plenty of toilet paper and soap. One tiny ugly detail was the hook on the door and the worn out door handle. They must have not replaced it when re-decorating, shame. Bed was comfortable, nice flat TV (awkwardly positioned, though...), new furniture with plenty of space for clothes. Personnel was nice and friendly, especially the cleaning ladies. They did use some kind of awkward smelling substance to wash the floor (they should change it immediately!). The restaurant food was average, a bit on the lower side of average. At breakfast, there was no vegetables or fruit (except for the fruit salad), although there was plenty of vegetables at salad bar at dinner - why not serve some of it for breakfast as well? At dinner, instead of letting us take the food ourselves, two waitresses were putting it on the plates - I don't like this at all. There was not written in any language what was being served, which made it difficult for foreigners to communicate except to point. Beer, wine and soft drinks were included. Everything considered, it has a lot of potential, with better management. For now, it is a good value for money and I would recommend it even as it is now. Dugi otok is really nice - unspoiled nature with beautiful, not crowded beaches.

  The little place for great vacation

  Quite place, beautiful cost, clean water, without noise-perfect vacation!I've finally found one!Nearby is Sakarun-the beautiest beach ion Croatia, also known as "Croatian Hawai" Bozava is located on Dugi otok with beautiful nature, clean water and a lack of any stress or lot of people.

  very bad stay

  I stayed 3 days in this hotel in dugi otok. I had half board. the hotel room was not clean and there was a bad smell already on the stairs. the cleaning lady was not filling up the soap dispenser that in fact was empty from the beginning. not nice for a 3*** hotel. the food was not good at all. also there was a very bad smell of gutter close to the restaurant. the people at the reception desk were unfriendly and we also had a dispute with them about the price of the room (we booked through a popular online agency in euro and we were charged a different price in kuna, about 20pct more than agreed) the people at the reception desk heavily offended us (italian sh**) and they took our documents and credit card in hostage for a good half an hour; besides that they pushed my boyfriend phisically in a corner without letting him go. This event was very unfortunate and we will signal this hotel to the online agency for their offensive if not racist behaviour. in any case for food and accomodation there are better options on the island

  Clean and nice place to stay on Dugi Otok

  Really good cleaning services for a 3 star hotel (our room was cleaned on a daily basis, clean towels, etc.). We arrived there late at night and the place look deserted, but oh, how we long for that silence now! As it was early June, it was mostly populated with German seniors, but that didn't bother us much. They definitely seemed more inclined to deal with groups rather than individuals, but overall we had a good experience. Wi-fi only works in the restaurant area, and it's not that strong.The staff could be a little bit more trained. It would be very helpful to know some German, English is definitely not so popular in Croatia, overall.

  it could be better

  We visited a great island Long island...my wife, younger son a me. Great nature with great sand and rock beaches...but type of quite vacations...family....not many possibility to have fun for kids...hotel ok...nothing special...good service...food great in restaurant where visitors from four hotels have their meals...Agava...Mirta....Lavanda and Maksim...this three are three stars hotels and Maksim is four stars hotel. There is a touristic train to one of the greatest beach Sakarun...but there You have only two beach bars with pretty middle level of services...
