  Still, there is no rating 3 and 1/2!

  Hotel has good location, staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. It is obvious that bathrooms were renovated recently, and the beds, sheets and mattresses are new. Generally, all is very clean. But the overall decor is very underwhelming - all looks totally outdated and ready for change - furniture, carpets and curtains. Windows are almost impossible to open an close normally. Lobby looks as if it traveled from the 90s. Breakfast is of average quality, I`ve seen better in Germany, but I`ve seen worse. But, I did not leave breakfast hungry. So, hotel is really ok in general, and that is why I have given 4 dots (it is clean, on good location, with good staff...) but overall impression is that it really looks outdated and that a little brush up would do them wonders.

  Excellent small hotel near everything

  We stayed at the Mingarden for six nights while attending a trade show in May 2016. We had a room on the top floor overlooking the back garden. The room and all facilities were spotlessly clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and professional. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet which offered many delicious choices. The hotel is near the Victoriaplatz U-bahn stop with easy connections to Messe Dusseldorf and downtown. The neighborhood is a mix of residential and commercial with many shops and restaurants nearby. We look forward to our next visit to Dusseldorf and the Hotel Mingarden.

  Pleasant stay

  Booked here because we needed a room to accommodate a family group of three adults. A little bit out of city centre, but easy access by tram with a 300-400m walk to the hotel. Plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Fifteen minute walk to old part of town. Room is spacious enough with plenty of storage space and beds moderately comfortable. Bathroom clean and newly renovated with plenty of hot water, but very small and shower floor a bit slippery. Unique feature of this family room is that it consists of two separate sleeping rooms with their own doors, and a shared bathroom between them... more of a small suite really at an affordable price. The second room is smaller than the main room, but also has its own TV. No air-con, but windows can open. Breakfast good with plenty of choice. Would stay again if I ever return to Dusseldorf.

  Nice hotel in central location

  This hotel is nice and will not disappoint you. The rooms are simple but big, bathroom functional, breakfast quite standard. I give it an average because it is still a 4 start, but I missed that touch of luxury that would make it stand out.

  Lovely short term stay

  As we've needed a different place to stay we found this hotel 20 min walking distance from the river and Altstadt . We were all very impressed by the welcoming Mrs Eugenia , who welcomed us in the most hospitable and friendly way possible. Thank you very much indeed. The rooms were all recently renovated, all the necessities are present and the hygienic pandemic precautions are allmost unnoticable. The breakfast ( which you have to reserve in the evening because the buffet is not allowed at the moment ) was prepared and served by Mrs Miriam . She's a real darling and a great host! I can recommend this hotel highly ! Staff are real service-professionals
