  Shower early!

  We tried to have a shower at 1830 on Saturday evening. There was no hot water. An obviously well-rehearsed drama was re-enacted by the man behind the reception and the manageress. It will be better in 10-15 minutes. The general conclusion voiced was that the other guests must have used the hot water. At 1900 he was in our shower feeling the lack of warmth in the water. We then went through the Pantomime of being taken to another room to feel equally cold water. We were then told we would have hot water in 10 minutes. Having heard this prophecy before, we waited for another 30 minutes - by which time it was 1940. I went down to reception once more. This time I was told, after the receptionist had asked other guests in Italian, whether they had had ant hot water that evening, that I was the only one complaining!!! To which I responded- because they had a hot shower, and there is no hot water for us. I've decided to curtail this story because I suspect any sensible reader will have understood the situation.

  Cozy, vintage and friendly

  Stayed one week during high season in the winter 2015. Friendly service from arrival to good-byes, specially in the restaurant. Traditional Italian food and tasty breakfast. Great location in the middle of the village, just 1min walk to the nearest ski-lift (5 Laghi). The street in front of the building is for the pedestrians only = no significant traffic!. Vintage interior creates cozy atmosphere but the sound insulation in the rooms could be better. Wifi was working properly only in the lobby.

  Great staff and cozy.

  Stayed there for a week with my parents in February and would love to stay there again. The location is excellent, very close to ski lift to 5 laghi (about 5 min walk) and also a slope from Pradalago that ends just on the other side of the street. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and always smiling. The food at the restaurant is superb, never the same evening menu for a week. The headwaiter treaded everybody like royalty! The hotel itself is getting a bit old, so there is creaking in the floors but that just made it more cozy. I couldn´t figure out the heating system in the shower...so it usually took some time to have hot water. The free wifi worked very well in the lobby, but we also had a good connection with ipad in our rooms on 2nd floor. There was only one electrical plug that we could use in our room (in the bathroom)..wouldn´t fit in the other plugs....but we didn´t complain about it. The sauna was free of charge (only had to pay for robes and flipflops) and worked really well! Thanx so much for the stay...hope to come there again next year!

  Back in the 50s

  the hotel seems to be a museum of the 50s , staff included. It needs a serious renovation as it seems that nothing has been changed the last 60 years The carpets in the entrance and the hotels corridors are ruined & the color has completed faded away. The shower in the room is a patchwork of different tiles. Also you fill like living in a room with all the other guests of there is no sound proofing Overall a surreal experience

  A very charming Italian hotel with well-preserved decor from the 1960s

  Hotel Milano is a very charming hotel with a nice atmosphere and we felt very welcome. The staff is very nice and accommodating. We stayed half board and the food was good classic Italian. A good selection of wines. Hotel Milano has retained much of its charming interior of the 6o's and has been carefully renovated. Sitting in the bar, where the bartender is good at mixing drinks, is like being in a Sean Connery James Bond movie. I hope this will be preserved forever :-) The rooms have large windows and balcony. Plenty of storage space !!!. Preserving the charm of the 60s, necessary renovation is done. Good housekeeping and a very nice and talented staff If you want the latest pretentious design and decoration, book any other hotel
