  Fantastic break - Good value!!

  Spent a couple of nights there (short spring break) during low season and was really nice (because no crowds!). Is a family run 3 star hotel; the time I've been there I've seen only family members working maybe because of this why it is so good cared. Location: Located at the beginning (or ending depending point of view) of Sottomarina which is the beach area of Chioggia. Is a well known beach holiday destination for families for all ages. The beach is right front and lots of restaurants and entertainment can be found just walking distance. If wanted to go to Chioggia is easy too, walking back to "mainland" as Sottomarina is a kind of "sand coastway" that connects Chioggia with several bridges. Property, rooms: All public areas were almost immaculate clean (restaurant, bar, breakfast lounge, stairs, corridors, rooms) We got a seaview room with balcony and was really nice to spent early mornings watching the sea. Room size was good (not too big not too small) is necessary to insert the key card in order to have electricity in the room. Bathroom was nice too although was a little bit small the shower. My only little complain is the breakfast, the majority of the choices were sweets like 8 types of biscuits, 5 types of cakes, 4 types of sweet cereals, lots of marmelades maybe this is because most of the guests are families with small children and obviously children prefer sweets... besides of this, I highly recommend this hotel because of its product (hotel & room) and rates reasonable good valued, for families with small children is absolutely not a problem since the owners have babies too!!!

  Excellent stay for beach holidays or tourist excursions to Venice

  The place IS well kept, although not fancy, but clean and practical. Beds are confy, TV and little balcony in every room. The running family is nice and friendly, also available for suggestions and solutions. We asked a supplementary bed for the child and they complied with no charge. WiFi was free. Parking as well no charge. Cross the street and you are on the nice beach with structures for families and fun. 5 min walk to bus station to venice and 10 min walk to boat sailing for venice. A good experience, we will be back.

  Family run gem of a hotel near Venice and Chioggia

  We were travelling through Sottomarina on our way through to Croatia and found this wonderful family-run hotel right on the beach, and just a short walk to either old-town Sottomarina or Chioggia. We could not have been more delighted with the service we received. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us. We walked to dinner in Chioggia. Breakfast was fantastic. The room had a great sea view for sunset drinks on the huge balcony. We were right across from the beach so enjoyed a long morning walk on the beach before we got on our way. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend for a short or long stay.

  A day in the Life of...

  It was in the summer of 2011 when my wife and I started our Med cruise a day early in Venice so we could see something of the city. With all the rush to get embarked and off and away the next day there wouldn't have been any opportunity to see this jewel of Italy. After much sleuthing I happened upon this gem of a small hotel just off the Grand canal that turned out to exceed every expectation that I had. We were greeted by very friendly porters that took our bags up from the water taxi then proceeded to check in where we had no problems since everybody spoke English well. The room, although somewhat small, was beautiful with a nice view overlooking the side path that led to the bridge to the main street. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom with huge towels and free breakfast rounded out the amenities. If we needed anything all we had to do was call the concierge and it was arranged. I would recommend this hotel for any stay in Venice without any reservation.
