  Basic hotel in need of much improvement!

  Im giving a generous 1 star. That is only for the scenery and location. Set on a beautiful Lagoon you really could not get better surroundings! Under New Management and with a new vision this hotel could be wonderful. Unfortunately it is tired and dated and severely lacking in important facilities. The rooms are inadequate in my opinion. I had to go up many flights of stairs to get to my room as I was halfway up so the lift would not be suitable. I would not have trusted it anyway as it looks very old and decrepit. The bed was very hard and there was no chair at the dressing table. The shower was never hot and there was a musty smell in the room. No safe in the room for belongings and no telephone!! Heaven help you if you encounter an emergency not having a phone is dreadful! No wifi in room. The hairdryer is rubbish. You have to keep your finger on the button the whole time! The food was truly dreadful. I am vegetarian and I also have an allergy to milk. I did phone from the UK to the hotel reception which was very costly by the way, I asked if they catered for me and if they would be soya milk and they said yes. However when I arrived at the hotel I was told they do not have soya milk at the resort. They had a very casual and relaxed attitude and didn't seem to give a damn. All establishments that are taking money from people should cater for those with allergies! I have never stayed at a Turkish hotel or indeed any hotel in the world where I have not been catered for. I do not drink alcohol so I would not cost this hotel very much at all as all I would drink is water and milk. I had to go and buy non-dairy milk from the supermarket. I was then told they got some but it was too late by then. The buffet was horrendous the only thing I could eat with salad and beans. All of the rice and any vegetable dishes had butter in! Completely unnecessary ingredient. You had to be served at the buffet and all they would give me a was very tiny and miniscule amount ,so I was constantly starving! I tried to explain to them that the salad was all the food I could eat, it was not just a starter but their English unfortunately was very bad! They should have catered for me, they let me down. All of the sun beds were reserved everyday by the Russians and the Germans honoring the time old tradition. People should not be allowed to leave their belongings on a sunbed and then disappear for hours it's not fair on others. Because of this I was forced to hire a cabana everyday at the cost of £35 daily. I have to say though the gentleman running the rental of the Cabanas is a lovely and very friendly guy. Also the restaurant staff who bring drinks and fruit everyday were fantastic. I would definitely not stay here again and I will return to the Wonderful's Tui sensatori Resort in future. It seems that standards have slipped and nobody cares here because they know that they have the best location, they have become very complacent.

  Absolutely...

  Absolutely fantastic place rooms very clean good choice of food friendly staff having there own beech is amazing good location to all shops bars etc. Highly recommend Although this hotel is 4 star should be 5 Cant wait to come back next year Would like to thank all the staff for there fantastic hospitality

  Excellent family get away

  We stayed at Meri's for 2 weeks and can't be happier with our time here. Our family (me and my wife with our 1yo kid and mother-in-law) had everything we needed for a great holiday: - Location is perfect. Lagoon is clean and close to the main area. - Weather is gorgeous. We stayed first half of October, and air and water were comfortably warm - Staff and service are amazing. We had everything we need + everyone was kind and smily with us. Our daughter loved it since everyone (literally) was so friendly. - Rooms are comfortable and clean. Got all you need. - Covid measures are reasonable and well-treated. Masks were everywhere as well as sanitisers. Definitely coming back!

  Great service and location for families

  We are leaving Hotel Meri today with a great gratitude to its wonderful team! Receptionist Onur, all the restaurant (especially Elif!) and bar workers were super helpful, respectful and enthusiastic. We really became good friends. Excellent service! Bravo! The hotel facilities are also great for the kids. We stayed with our 1-year daughter. She really enjoyed the sandy, safe beach and lo ed playing in the water (and also with all hotel cats :) The hotel is 12 min walk from the Oludeniz beach and all the city restaurants. There are also several play grounds in nearby hotels. We also did a 2 hour hike on Lycian trail which starts not far from the hotel. The Covid-19 measures in Meri are very good, everyone wears masks, the temperature is measured, we felt safe and were not bothered by the restrictions very much. The food was good and varied, I especially loved the deserts :) Overall, great impressions! Definitely will be back next year!

  Bad Experience

  They had a renovation and during the renovation they demolished the breakfast room which was the best place in the hotel with a wonderful scene of Ölüdeniz and instead made guest rooms. It was a shock to me. Formerly there were many trees in the gardenand we sat under the trees most of them has gone. They made an indoor Restaurant and only 1 row of open place that everyone passes very close to your table. They put dirty blue pillows on the white sheets and pillows which are great danger from the point of Coronavirus. The staff working in the Restaurant serving meal to the guests were very rude. But Elif and Mükerrem were very friendly and they were working very hard. I thank them very much. If they were absent. I would hardly bare Club Meri Hotel.
