  Good base for walking

  A decent hotel for a week. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, especially Julia. My single room was adequate and warm. It was great to have a bath, much appreciated after a days walking. The food was plentiful. The wifi was not always constant in my room, but better in the reception area. There was a kettle on the first floor, with tea, coffee and milk provided, which was a bonus.

  The Best

  You will not find a better price/ service ration in all of Austria! It´s the second time Im staying at the Menthof for an Orthopaedic Konvention and it was like coming home. The owners are the nicest people and fullfill every wish to the highest stndard! Moms cookingis so typical and delicious you will not find a better Restaurant! The service is asoutstanding as well as super friendy. Thank you so much for taking me in , it will not be the last time!!!

  Authentic Cosy Austrian Family Hotel

  I stayed at the Hotel Menthof for the second year running in February 2019 as part of a guided winter walking group. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, Julia and Frau Nairz, a mother and daughter team. Julia even lent me snow shoes for the week. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with plenty of hot water at all times, and the home-cooked food is excellent, and a welcome change from the mass catering you get in some of the bigger hotels. I would recommend this hotel as a comfortable base for your Austrian holiday adventures!

  Total rip-off

  We had reservation for two nights because we came to the FIS races. The room for 4 people had one double bed, one single bed and one extra small sofa, too short for a 165 cm high girl. She asked for another bed and got another room. The next day the races were cancelled and we called the landlady at 12 am to let her know we are leaving earlier, after just one night. When we came back to pay for the rooms we had to pay for the whole reservation - including the breakfast next day and for the extra room, eventhough the 4th bed could not be called a bed. She said she has to charge us for breakfast next day because she already purchased the food. So we would have to eat stale bread the next morning? This was a classic rip-off and we can guarantee never to come back. Were probably coming back to this town next week, but most certainly not to this house. The rooms are ancient and the house is cold, wouldnt recommend anyway.

  Fantastic Austrian Family Hotel

  We had a fantastic family ski holiday in Seefeld. Stunning views from our room and rarely have we stayed in a hotel where the owners have been so genuinely friendly and helpful. Thank you Julia, you made it a holiday to remember and we cannot wait to return. Lee, Flo & Girls xx
