    a very nice stay :)

I was very satisfied with my staying at this hotel. The room as well as the bathroom were modern and very clean. Our room had a balcony with a view of the sea. The hotel had a small pool but it was no crowded but rather quiet, clean and pleasant. However, we prefered the beach which was close to the hotel - but be carreful at the beach there was a young man wanting money from us so that we could enter the beach with our own ombrella!! Of cource we did not give him a penny! The locals tend to try to get money out of holidaymakers. The food in the restaurant was Ok but with no fruit or ice cream during the whole stay.

Partially renovated hotel at nice location, with price discrepancies, and elements of possible case of tax evasion.

Hotel Mediteran is a partially renovated facility which offer a very nice view on the beach and old castle. The hotel has a small but very nice swimming pool with the view on the beach and old castle. The food offered at this hotel is in general very nice with the reasonable price I was staying three times in this hotel, in rooms which were not renovated (524, 527, 531). The bathrooms, in the building which I stayed, should be particularly renovated. In my case, when I requested a hotel room with renovated bathroom, the hotel reception desk forwarded me a price for superior room. Therefore, standard rooms in this hotel are mostly non-renovated rooms, whereas superior room are renovated rooms. Staying here several time, I noticed that there are discrepancies in prices for standard (non-renovated) rooms, depending are you booking from: (a) international verified internet booking sites, (b) travel agencies from surrounded countries, (c) hotel itself. My personally suggestion to all potential guest is to book their room through verified internet booking sites, and verified travel agencies, and avoid booking directly with hotel reception desk, as their price per standard (non-renovated) room is different from the guest to the guest and depends on reception desk officer willing. Recently, I also noticed in this hotel a certain elements of tax evasion. We were 3 friends that stay in this hotel 3 nights (26/27/28 July 2019) with breakfast included and for the dinner each of us were obliged to pay additional 8 per dinner.A tax fraud was noticed in the case of not issuing a regular tax bill for the dinner which we paid. We noticed that reception desk officers are hesitating to issue a regular bill with all taxes included for the dinners which we took separately at the hotel. At our first night, for the dinner which we took at the hotel, the reception desk officer has issued us with the regular bill with all taxes included (although reception desk officer had attempt to increase a regular price for dinner from 8 to 10 euro). On the second night, we paid as well the required amount of money for dinner at the reception desk, but reception desk officer attempt to avoid issuing the appropriate bill by escorting us directly to dinner room without previously issuing us with appropriate bill. Only with our persistence in issuing us with an appropriate bill we were issued with tax bill. On our third night, the reception desk officer achieved its intention in not issuing an appropriate bill, by escorting us directly to dinner room. Day before our departure, I requested from reception desk officer to arrange a meeting with the hotel manager in order to discuss the irregularities which I noticed during my stay at this hotel, but they have never arrange this meeting.

    Not good

So,we got a room on the first floor & I don't feel 100% safe the doors only lock one time & anyone from the outside could just jump into the balcony. Also the food is not good & it doesn't vary at all. The only advantages are that there is an amazing view & that we have fast Wi-Fi.

Old hotel, partially renovated, nice location, friendly staff

Well, the title says it all. The hotel is comprised of villas and main building. Only one section of the building is renovated; villas are quite dated with very old and bad bathrooms. They also categorize clients and give updated rooms only to tourists from international agencies and old rooms are given to regional tourists. Only the view of some villas is something to cherish. View from the pool is perfect, overlooking the city, the beach and the castle. However, one remark though about the cleanliness of the pool - normally pools have operating hours and then hours when they are closed at night for desinfection - it was not the case here - people were swimming at their whim even at 2 o'clock after midnight!!! Food is edible, with 2 main courses at dinner. One remark though - there is no elevator in the main building where the food court is so it is rather difficult for couples with baby strollers to climb the stairs up and down. If the hotel rooms are updated and refurbished and the cleaning is improved I would gladly come back.
