  Pleasurable Experience

  I have stay here many times in the past. It maybe a tad pricey. However, you need to splurge once in a while. Go for the suite. That extra space makes the room more relaxing.You do get bank for your buck. The location is close to downtown.

  Stay for a wedding

  The desk staff was so helpful. Of course I forgot something and they were happy to suggest the nearest place to get what I needed. My son locked himself out of his room. Once again the front desk staff were there to recuse us.The ladies that cleaned our room were so polite asking if we needed anything else. Most hotels they barely say 2 words to you. Thank you for a great stay.

  Wont be back!

  This once great hotel has seen better days. The overall feeling, from the lobby to our King Suite, was one of neglect and disrepair- of both the actual building and of the staff. The room did not feel clean (actual beer bottle garbage left in one cabinet) and were poorly equipped (no USB ports in the room we had to unplug the bedside lamps and clock to plug our devices in). The room did not get made up and when I called to request it the front desk was obviously irritated. When they did make it up it was just sheets and towels- nothing else. Garbage cans full, sink &shower not wiped, nothing swept or vacuumed. For the our $280.00 - we would have been better off at a chain hotel- where we think the cleaning standard might have been higher. I dont believe this hotel will be in business much longer- it had the overall feeling of an old hotel slowly dying.

  Disappointed

  The Mead has always been the place in the area to stay when in the surrounding area. But, the current owners, who ever they are have really let the place go. $125 even discounted to $95.00 for the night is robbery. The tower has been outdated for two decades and this is where they put me at this rate. While the west wing is better. more updated, it is probably getting old too. The night before this stay in Edina, MN, at the Homewood Suites was a total of $103.00. This room was $107.00 total without any breakfast and a lot more comfortable and updated. This room reminded me of the economy rooms in Wisconsin Dells. There are other places in town like the Sleep Inn which is better and more updated and the Best Western Premier in Marshfield, WI where I will stay next time rather than be taken advantage of like this.

  50th Anniversary Celebration

  Would highly recommend if you are planning an event. WE live out of state so most of the planning was done via email. Lindsey was outstanding to work with. The food for the event was delicious, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and they allowed pets.
