A real Family run place with great value and fine owners.

Spent a weekend in Dec, so off season, but the fireplace sure replaced the great summer weather. The restaurant was run in such a way you would never expect such a quality from a small place!! The menu was a 4 star level and the waiter was so kind to us. The family owns and run the place with such a devotion that your stay will be special. Newly refurbished and from this place you can go and visit the Conero National Park and Ancona, a city you with great secret corner to be discovered. Have a great Stay nelle Marche!!!

    Great Location and Beautiful Grounds

Locanda della Strada Marina is in a great location about 3K from the city center of Senigallia. The location provides easy driving time to several major attractions: 45 min. to the Frasassi Caves, Umbria, and the Conera Peninsula, and 10 min. to the sandy beaches of Senigallia. Two friendly sisters run the country house--Stefania and Daniella. Daniella speaks a fair amount of English, and both sisters make you feel very welcome. They serve an excellent buffet breakfast with cappuccinos or expressos made to order. There is a large lounge area downstairs, where guests can relax or eat breakfast if it's raining. Reliable wireless internet service was always available in this room. Eating outside on the patio under an umbrella was a great way to start the day. The grounds are beautiful with a pool and many chaises to relax. The restaurant on site serves very good dinners, with one meat and one fish option for each of three courses. We ate there twice. Two other nights we ate at restaurants in Senigallia--Ristorante Raggiazzurro and Ristorante Pagaia, both good choices. If you have one of the sisters make your reservation at Ristorante Raggiazzurro, you will get a 10% discount. I would give it five stars except for a few disappointments--a hard bed, a small shower stall, and not always getting an internet signal in our room.

Very bad experience, not to repeat

The location is very beautiful but the people working in this structure have been extremely unpolite and unfriendly with us since the very first moment. In several years travelling this was for us probably the most uncomfortable experience. We really did not enjoy the people and we decided to leave one night before even if we had already payed. In our opinion, it is really not worth the money payed.

    Senigallia's best kept secret!

I was in town to enjoy the beach and the sights that Senigallia had to offer and the Locanda was a wonderful place to stay while visiting. The two sisters that run the locale are wonderful. The pool, the grounds are beautiful. If you want to get away from the Lungomare life this is the place. I enjoyed my stay here

The Good, The Bad and the Charming Waiters

I want to provide a fair and accurate review of this hotel as I feel somewhat mislead by previous reviews. Good: This was a gem of a hotel i.e. the pool, hotel, garden was peaceful, charming and filled with butterflies and happy flowers. The restaurant here served some tremendous dishes and it was really romantic. I would absolutely recommend visiting the restaurant. The staff in the restaurant could not be faulted - what charming people. If I ever open a restaurant one day, I will fly the waiter and waitress over to work for me and pay them handsomely. Bad: Sadly, the beds were so hard that we could not sleep at all. I'm talking about waking up in pain every hour because they were so hard. It reminded me of my uni days when we crashed on friend's bedroom floors. The two sisters that run the place are very nice but they made us feel as though we were fussing though-out our stay to the point where we were honestly desperate to leave.
